Highlights of the Constitution
At "home" or "away" cheerleaders must display proper
conduct before
• Each cheerleader is expected to maintain good moral
behavior
• NVHS Cheerleaders are important representatives
of our school and are very visible to everyone!

result in immediate dismissal from the squad, practice,
season or game at the discretion of the cheerleading

• Each cheerleader is required to maintain good
grades.

Coaches get a print out every week
Have to be passing at least five classes
Two weeks ineligible= contract for two weeks or removed
•Athlete
must be in class at least four periods in
order to participate in the nightly activities

Workshops/Clinics:
GOLD BUILDING
•The coaching staff will hold workshops prior to try-outs
• GIrls can work on stunting, jumps, motions, and tumbling.
The dates for these clinics are:
April 16th, April 30th
May 6th, and May 14th
Clinic will be held at GOLD building in either the main gym or aux
gym from 4 to 6 pm.
Not mandatory but HIGHLY encouraged

• The workshops are $10 per day. Checks can be made out to
WILDCAT CHEER
•What to wear: Navy cheer shorts and a white t-shirt
•Appropriate shoes, hair up in pony with bow.

Private Lessons
•This is not mandatory-only suggested if this is
something you are looking for

•Many locations offer privates for tumbling and stunting
•We will be doing team training during the seasons
which is highly encouraged. EXTRA COST
•If your child is not participating in team training, they
are still required to come to practice and will condition
with the coaches.

What to Bring to Try-outs

check for $200 will be collected to
cover the NVHS athletic fee

physicals that will expire during the
season will need to be renewed previous
to the date they will expire to ensure the
athlete will not miss any events
What to wear to Tryouts (checklist)
•Plain blue or gold shorts
•Plain white t-shirt
•Proper cheer/gym shoes
•Bow for hair
All hair needs to be
worn in a ponytail.
No jewelry or gum!

Our TARGET is to be STATE CHAMPIONS at the
Varsity level and CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS at the
JV level, support and represent NV, and have a blast in
our journey to reach these goals.
