Our first exchange project was in 2006-2007 . 9 catering students travelled to Szentendre Hungary for three weeks. Since then each year we have sent catering students to Hungary. In 2007-2008 a second mobility project was created for our Tourism students. 10 Tourism students travelled to Kuressaare – Estonia. A total of 10 Art and Fashion students travelled to work in Florence, the heart of art culture in Europe. Our Art & Fashion students enjoyed the experience and by all accounts it was a tremendous success! Italy 2013 2012-2013 Mikaelly Kaitlyn Caroly Anthony John Rosana Indre Eimear Michael Francesca Alves De Carvalho Fitzgeral Gannon Osborne McGuire Marshall Martinez Amoeda Mitkute Noctor Pidgeon Towers Colaiste Ide was included in the booklet launched by The National Agency (Leargas) on 13th October 2010 in the National College of Ireland, as part of it Life Long Learning Programme. The booklet was entitled ‘2010 European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion’. We are also been included in a study on the impact of mobility projects under Life Long Learning Programme. The study will be launched this November at a conference. We are currently ranked in the top five schools in Ireland providing mobility projects.
