13.30hrs – 16.00hrs
As part of the European SME Week the Ministry for the Economy, Investment and Small Business
in collaboration with the Malta Employers’ Association is organizing an Information Session on:
The Relevance of Human Resources Management for SMEs on 22nd October 2014 from
13.30hrs to 16.00hrs at the Malta Employers’ Association, 38/2 South Street, Valletta.
Irrespective of size of company, or number of employees, the effective management of a
company’s human resources is essential for the successful operating of the enterprise and an
important source of competitive advantage. Although small companies may not have an established
human resources department, the manner in which employees are selected, trained, motivated is
becoming an increasingly critical factor - through the development of intellectual capital, skills and
innovation - in creating a dynamic work environment which generates added value to the company
and its clients. Mr Joseph Farrugia, Director General – MEA will be delving into these issues. The
Hon. Chris Cardona, Minister for the Economy, Investment and Small Business shall be delivering
the closing address.
Places are limited and will be accepted on a first come first served basis. Should the maximum
number have been reached, you will automatically be placed on the waiting list.
The participation is free of charge. For registrations or further information, kindly contact
Ms Dorianne Azzopardi Cilia on tel. Nos. 21237585 / 21222992 or email
