Promise, we expect to be welcoming our first guests
sometime in late March or April. As we prepare to host our
first guests, we still have a few outstanding needs:
Volunteers needed: We especially need volunteers to
serve as Overnight Hosts. They would stay overnight with
our guests and be available in case of an emergency and
assist in serving breakfast (cereal, toast, etc.) in the
morning. For more information or to volunteer, please
contact Ron Severson, [email protected]
or 346-6137, x 243. Supplies: The response has been
overwhelming to our call for donations. We are temporarily

what is still needed. We are profoundly grateful to all who
have donated items.

Scripture Readings for Next Sunday:
A Family Perspective
by Bud Ozar
Today’s gospel reminds us “unclean spirits” still haunt our
families. These “spirits” thrive inside our grudges, punishing
silence, impatience and abruptness. Today Jesus offers
you the “authority” to cast out these spirits from your life
and your family.
Job 7:1-4,6-7; 1 Corinthians 9:16-19, 22-23;
Mark 1:29-39
Gospel of the Week: Mark 1:21-28
Question for Adults: How have you served those in need?
Question for Children: What is a way to show Jesus’ peace?
THE FOURTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

Reminder: Make-up Meeting for families whose children

The Principle of Charity and K of C Council #8121
This principle, which is exemplified in the ceremony of the First Degree for initiates, draws upon St. Paul’s writing
on faith, hope and charityS”the greatest of these is charity.” Locally, Council 8121 raises funds which are
donated for scholarships to area Catholic schools; support of regional shelters, centers, and missions; and for outreach
services assisting Schenectady’s people in need. To become a Knight of Columbus simply requires being male (18 years or
older), a practical Catholic (who has received the Sacrament of Confirmation), and also be willing to participate in the
ceremonies of the Order.
