Maybank Visa payWave Micro Tag: Terms and Condition
Upon receiving the Maybank Visa payWabe Micro Tag, you are deemed to understand and agree
with the following Terms & Conditions:
1. Lost/Theft:
1.1
I must ensure that the Maybank Visa payWave Micro Tag is kept in a safe and secure
place and take all steps and precaution to prevent any fraud, loss or theft in
respect of or in relation to the Maybank Visa payWave Micro Tag and the Card
account.
1.2
If my Maybank Visa payWave Micro Tag is lost, stolen or used by any other person, I
must:
(a) immediately notify Maybank; and
(b) furnish Maybank with a statutory declaration in such form that Maybank will
specify and/or a police report and/or any other information Maybank may
require.
1.3
I am liable for all the unauthorised transactions. Notwithstanding the foregoing, my
liability for all unauthorised transactions on the Maybank Visa payWave Micro Tag/
Card account which are effected prior to me notifying Maybank shall be limited to
RM250 provided:
(a) I fully comply with clauses 1.1 and 1.2;
(b) I assist in the investigations and recovery ; and
(c) Maybank is satisfied that such unauthorised card transaction are not due to my
negligence and that I have not acted fraudulently.
2. Discretion
2.1
Without prejudice to any of Maybank’s rights and remedies, Maybank is entitled at
any time in its reasonable discretion and without giving any reason or notice, to
refuse to approve any proposed transaction made using my Maybank Visa payWave
Micro Tag notwithstanding that the current balance, if the proposed card
transaction was debited thereto, would not have exceeded the combined credit
limit.
3. Exclusion of Liability
3.1
Maybank does not represent nor warrant that the use/operation of the Maybank
Visa payWave Micro Tag will not be without disruption, interruption or error.
3.2
Maybank shall not be responsible or liable to me or any other party for any loss,
damage, inconvenience, embarrassment, cost or expense of any nature which in
anyway may be suffered or incurred by me or by any other person in respect of or
in connection with my use of Maybank Visa payWave Micro Tag.
3.3
Maybank shall not be liable for any damage and/or loss suffered in connection with
the use of the Maybank Visa payWave Micro Tag for goods or services supplied by
any merchant or the quality or the performance of any goods or services pursuant
to or in relation to any transaction made on my Maybank Visa payWave Micro Tag. If
I have any complaint against any merchant, I should resolve such dispute with the
merchant; any liabilities owed to Maybank will not be affected by such dispute or
any counterclaim or right of set-off which I may have against the merchant.
3.4
My rights under this agreement are not to be assigned or otherwise disposed of.
3.5
Maybank will not be held liable in any way and I will have no claims against
Maybank if the Maybank Visa payWave Micro Tag is not accepted or honoured by any
merchants, bank, financial institution or any other person for any reason.
3.6
Maybank shall not be responsible for any damage or disruption to my mobile phone
as a result of the used of the Maybank Visa payWave Micro Tag.
3.7
I acknowledge and agree that my use of Maybank Visa payWave Micro Tag is at my
sole risk. Maybank shall not be liable for any costs, expenses, loses or damanges
(whether direct or indirect) or for loss of any revenue, loss of profits or any

consequential loss, whatsoever and howsoever incurred and/or suffered by me or
any person in connection with the Maybank Visa payWave Micro Tag.
Other Terms and Conditions will apply as per existing Credit Cards Agreement.
