Zimbabwe International Trade Fair
Stimulating Trade
Seizing opportunities to accelerate growth
Dear Participants,
A warm welcome to the 56th edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade
Fair. During previous exhibitions, the emphasis has been on how to utilise
our potential through business networks and innovation in order to achieve
sustainable growth.
This year, through the theme Stimulating Trade, we are saying the time is
now to turn our potential into valuable trade in order to get the domestic,
regional and global economy thriving again.
We are therefore calling the local business community, both large
corporates and the Small to Medium Enterprises, to participate in ZITF
2015. This will be the perfect opportunity to showcase the best that
Zimbabwe has to offer, as well as share ideas on how you are working
towards stimulating trade within the economy.
To the international exhibitors, business visitors and investors, ZITF 2015 is
a multi-sectoral trade fair, making it an ideal platform to seek new markets
as well as get a snapshot of Zimbabwe’s investment potential.

The ZITF International Business Conference attracts between 350-400 delegates annually.
Traditionally, the Vice-President is the guest of honour, with various senior government ministers,
foreign-embassy representatives and captains of industry also in attendance. As such the discussions
are enriched by providing a platform for policy change, knowledge exchange and dialogue between
the government and various stakeholders.

conduct business while supporting a worthy cause.
Official Opening Ceremony
The highlight of ZITF annually is the official opening ceremony. The expo is officiated by a mystery guest
who is usually announced a week before the event. This guest is usually an international head of state.
During this ceremony winning exhibitors are awarded prizes under different categories for the efforts
they would have made on their stands.
Bulawayo Agricultural Show
The show is organised annually by the Bulawayo Agricultural Society and
runs concurrently with ZITF, showcasing from local livestock, through to
fat stock and pedigree stock competitions and auctions. The Home
Industry and Produce sections showcases rural, urban and peri-urban
produce. Equestrian events provide great entertainment every year.
Entertainment
The last 2 days are open to the general public. Visitors will be treated to impressive displays by the
Zimbabwe Defence Forces, Zimbabwe Prison Services, Zimbabwe Republic Police and Drum Majorettes.
