All entries are accepted subject to these regulations and by-laws and the ordinary
rules of the Royal Agricultural Society.
PRESENTATION OF PRIZES to be held at the meeting of the Society on

Secretary will contact all prize winners.
OPENING: Admission to the Exhibition Hall from 5pm Friday 27th and 10am
Saturday 28th March 2015.
EXHIBITS: Every exhibit must be the bona-fide property of the exhibitor and
must have been grown, produced or made by the exhibitor. The whole
arrangements as to position, classification and grouping of exhibits shall be under
the control of the Society.
No exhibit to be removed before 9am Sunday 29th March without permission of
the Secretary. Arrangements may be made for collection of exhibits after closure
of the Show at 9.00pm Saturday 28th March. All exhibits within the hall are the
property of the Show Committee and any persons removing same before specified
times will be dealt with as the Committee may think proper. Exhibitors only will
be allowed to re-enter the hall, on production of exhibitors’ cards. To obtain their
exhibits they must produce their card for the Section Steward before exhibits are
removed. All exhibits must be in the hall at the times stated.
4
CONTROL OF EXHIBITS: Exhibitors shall arrange their exhibits under the direction
of the Stewards and no exhibit shall afterwards be moved without the sanction of the
Stewards, under a penalty not exceeding $10. The Society shall have the power to retain
the exhibits of the exhibitor so fined until such fine is paid. The owner or exhibitor of
any exhibit or stand of exhibits disapproved of as an exhibit by the Society must
immediately remove such exhibit or stand of exhibits on notice to that effect. An
exhibitor or attendant refusing to attach the Prize Card to any exhibit to which a prize is
awarded and refusing to keep same during the hours of the exhibition, will on proof
thereof to the Society, forfeit all prizes awarded to such exhibit during the Show and
may be disqualified from again competing. One prize card only is issued for each prize
won. Exhibitors will render themselves liable to a penalty of $10 for removing any
official placard or ticket affixed or posted by the Stewards, or by refusing in any way to
carry out instructions, and the Society shall incur no responsibility by enforcing
regulations. The Society shall have the power to retain any or all exhibits until all fines
are paid.
DANGEROUS OR DISEASED EXHIBITS: Should the Society have any reason to
suspect that any exhibit is dangerous or objectionable, it may have same removed, or
refuse its admission to the hall.
JUDGING
In the event of there being no competition in any Class, a prize may be given if the
judges certify to particular merit. Judges are requested to withhold prizes, even where
there is competition, if the exhibits are of inferior description or are not suitable for the
Class in which they are competing. Judges may award a second prize or third prize
instead of a first, or they may divide a prize.
CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS: In making these awards the judges may select from any
exhibits.
POINTS: The Society’s scale of points is: First Prize – 3 points; Second Prize – 2
points; Third Prize – 1 point; Champion – 3 extra points; Best Exhibit – 2 extra points.
In all sections (excepting children’s classes) at least 8 points must be obtained before a
trophy is awarded.
PROTESTS: All protests must be given in writing to the Secretary, accompanied by a
fee of $10, before 8.30pm, Friday 27th March. The money shall be absolutely forfeited
to the funds of the Society if the protests on due consideration be deemed unfounded or
frivolous. Any prize which may be withheld in consequence of any valid reason shall be
forfeited to the Society.
Should any exhibitor, having gained a prize, be disqualified (either by protest or for any
other reason) the next on the list does not necessarily obtain such prize. The Society,
with or without the advice of the judge, shall decide the question.
SOCIETY’S LIABILITY: Every reasonable care will be taken of exhibits, but no
responsibility will be incurred by the Society. Ordinary precautions will be taken to
guard against fire and to protect the property of the Society and the exhibits, but exhibits
will not be insured at the expense of the Society.
The Society will not be responsible for any accident that may be caused through or by
the exhibits or exhibitors and it shall be blameless and indemnified against any legal
proceedings arising from such accidents.
5
Persons contravening any of the Society’s rules or regulations shall forfeit any prize
which may have been awarded to them. All persons entering any events do so at their
own risk. All other By-Laws, Regulations and Rules of the Society are the same as
those of the Royal Agricultural Society with which this Society is affiliated. Any person
creating a disturbance or misdemeanour may be requested to leave the hall at the
Stewards’ discretion.
PRIZE MONEY: All prize monies may be collected from the Secretary’s office
