Ten years on, and the equivalent numbers were over 950 and more than 50,000. only that, but the show’s ever-growing roster of conferences and networking events ensure that the most important new business connections and partnership announcements are made in Amsterdam. While the growth curves are impressive by any standards, they do not tell the whole story. At ISE 2014, almost 3,000 people attended training sessions from InfoComm International and CEDIA, presentations at the event’s two showfloor theatres, or Conferences staged before and during the show. ISE’s status as the systems integration industry’s defining international event is confirmed by the attention it receives from the media. In 2004, fewer than 20 journalists attended the show. By 2014, this had risen to almost 500, representing publications from all over the world. Increasingly, if a major global product launch is made in any given year in any of ISE’s technology markets, then that launch takes place at ISE.
