Case study Daimler’s Record Run 2011 was a trial that was set up to test the fuel efficiency of its latest trucks, the Actros Euro 5, the Actros Euro 6 and the Actros. The trucks travelled from Rotterdam, the Netherlands, to Szczecin, Poland and back no less than seven times. Using Shell Rimula R6 LME and Shell FuelSave Diesel together the Actros Euro 5 achieved fuel savings of 7.6%. The Actros Euro 6 achieved fuel savings of 4.5%, compared with the Actros.
