“Don't let others define you. Define yourself.” – Ginni Rometty
In order to further give a push to the economy and enhance the growth, the Government of India has
launched the Make In India programme. Under this programme, there has been major new initiatives' being
undertaken and a positive attitudinal shift in the approach by the authorities. This has further helped
Government to become a true business partner in every possible sense.
The programme is designed to simplify the processes by reducing complexity and signicantly increasing
speed & transparency within the operating system. The aim is to give further impetus to facilitate investment,
foster innovation, protect intellectual property and build best-in-class manufacturing infrastructure.
In view of the above effort by the Government, entrepreneurs & innopreneurs have a lot to gain and
contribute. With close to half a billion plus women in India, it is only wise & prudent to also bring in more
women in the main stream by mobilising this set of human resources. Entrepreneurship with special focus on
women has shown to be one such way to bring in the desired change/result.
It is with this in mind, we have carefully designed this 5th Women Entrepreneurship Conference. This
conference intends to bring all the key stakeholders of the chosen elds to share their valuable
entrepreneurial insights to help us materialize our dreams and making this vision a reality.
