“My Journey, My Home” Card Design Art Competition In celebration of Singapore's Golden Jubilee and 50 years of progress in 2015, EZ-Link is unveiling a nationwide “My Journey, My Home” Card Design Art Competition. “My Journey, My Home” calls for participants to depict what SG50 means to them. Four winning designs will be printed on 200,000 ez-link cards which will be made available to the public. The set will be a meaningful collectible to commemorate Singapore’s 50th birthday. EZ-Link will pledge part of the sales proceeds of these cards to the Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS), in support of children with dyslexia to help them achieve their fullest potential and be a part of Singapore’s prosperity and growth beyond 50 years. Date: ART COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS: Who can enter? Competition is open to all members of the public up to 25 years of age (as of 1 January 2015). Current DAS students, ex-students, alumni and other members of the DAS Family should submit using the DAS registration form which can be obtained through DAS. All children aged 16 and below as of 1 January 2015 must have the consent of their parent or legal guardian to participate in the competition. All artwork must be accompanied by a fully completed registration form, including the written description of the art piece. All Singaporean citizens and Permanent Residents. Your Artwork: All artwork(s) must be original, created by the artist, and follow the competition’s theme. Artwork(s) can be created in any medium (drawing, painting, photography etc.) as long as it can be reproduced in 2D format. Artwork(s) can be presented in either landscape or portrait, and should be proportional to an ez-link card size (8.5cm x 5.4cm) to retain the dimensions of the artwork. The final product will be reduced to an ez-link card size (8.5cm x 5.4cm). Artwork(s) should be sent in the correct orientation (either horizontal or vertical), especially if the work is an abstract piece. Artwork(s) must be submitted in digital format (.jpg or.png) and must be no larger than 2MB each. Artists are responsible for the image(s)’ resolution and the artwork(s) will be judged according to the quality of the image received. Each artist is limited to a maximum of three (3) submissions only. Artist may submit a single application form for all 3 works. Artist may insert new rows to the registration form to describe individual artworks. Artwork(s) must not contain explicit language or offensive material. The organisers have full discretion and hold the right to refuse approval of any artwork that is deemed inappropriate or outside the competition parameters. Any artwork found not to be original or that infringes the rights of any third party, including but not limited to copyright, trademarks, trade secrets, privacy, publicity, personal, confidentiality or proprietary rights, will be disqualified. Ownership: By participating in the contest, the artist (where the artist is 16 or below, the parent or guardian), agrees to the public disclosure and reasonable use of their names, images and photographs for publicity purposes without payment or compensation. In addition, winners agree to allow EZ-Link to reasonably use their name for publicity purposes on the winning entries in connection with this competition. The artist (where the artist is 16 or below, the parent or guardian), will agree that the ownership of the artwork becomes the property of EZ-Link Pte Ltd for the purposes of publicity and the production of ez-link cards for public sale. EZ-Link reserves the rights to retain or reproduce the artwork(s) for publicity purposes, providing the necessary credit to the artist. By participating in this contest, winners are deemed to have expressly consented to EZ-Link disclosing their personal particulars to any person or entity involved in organizing, promoting or conducting the contest. Judging and Winners: All entries will be judged on their relevance to the theme of the competition, creativity, originality, artistic appeal and suitability for an ez-link card reproduction. The winning artists will have their artwork reproduced on an ez-link card to be sold to the public. The sale of the cards will result in a partial donation to the Dyslexia Association of Singapore.
