The USB Extender Plus Series allows USB peripheral devices to be located
up to 330 feet (100 meters) away from the host computer using a single
CATx cable. It is compatible with USB 3.0, 2.0, 1.1, and 1.0 devices with
transfer data rates up to 480 Mbps, such as a keyboard, mouse, webcam,
or mass storage device. Available in three form factors that can be mixed
and matched, the USB Extender Plus Series simplifies integration of USB
peripherals in a wide variety of professional environments.
SPECIFICATIONS
DESCRIPTION
The USB Extender Plus Series extends signals from USB
peripheral devices located up to 330 feet (100 meters) away from
the host computer using a single CATx cable. It is compatible with
USB 3.0, 2.0, 1.1, and 1.0 devices with transfer data rates up
to 480 Mbps, enabling bulk, control, interrupt, and isochronous
transfers as defined by the USB specification. The transmitter
includes USB peripheral emulation to enable problem-free booting of
a host computer that is not connected to a keyboard or mouse. For
simplified integration, the receiver features a built-in, active four‑port
hub that supplies 5 Volts, 500 mA on each port to power attached
devices. The USB Extender Plus Series supports USB peripherals
such as interactive whiteboards, keyboards, mice, mass storage
devices, webcams, headsets and speakers, along with other USB
devices in a wide variety of professional environments.
