concentration at Georgetown University. Serves on the Washington State Nurses Association
Legislative and Health Policy Council. Previously held the office of Vice-President for the Nursing
Students of Washington State and the office of President of the Student Nurses of Whatcom.

Negotiating and Influencing
Robin Amadei, J.D., Common Ground Mediation and Coaching, LLC
Negotiation is a daily activity on and off the job. Participants will learn skills to maximize their
outcomes in negotiations by honing interest-based negotiation and competitive bargaining skills.
Participants will develop expertise in effective negotiation preparation, dealing with difficult
people and elegantly dealing with negotiation tactics. In the training, participants will discuss
human psychology in the negotiation process and how to negotiate in light of these human
factors. Also, participants will learn proven questioning techniques and telephone negotiation do's and dont's.
