We are writing to tell you about a very special event, the CHOC Cherishes Children Gala featuring
Grammy Award-Winning Artist, John Legend. This fabulous event will be held on Saturday,
February 7, 2015 at The Island Hotel, Newport Beach and will host over six hundred of the
community's most prominent residents. This year is extremely important as CHOC Children's ushers
in a new era in caring for Children and presents the Argyros Family Foundation with the 2015 CHOC
Children's Champion Award. The Argyros Family Foundation has created a legacy of caring for
children through the naming of the regions only dedicated pediatric Emergency Department. The
George and Julia Argyros Emergency Department at CHOC Children’s provides hope for families in
their greatest hour of need.
Your support is needed more than ever, as funds from this special evening will support the care and
treatment of Southern California's children. For five decades CHOC Children's has stood as a
distinguished non-profit children's hospital, committed to providing the highest quality medical
care to all children. Our mission is straightforward: To nurture, advance and protect the health
and well-being of children. That’s why at CHOC Children’s Hospital in Orange and CHOC Children’s
at Mission Hospital, we are dedicated to working cooperatively—assisting and enriching existing
services as well as developing programs to benefit families. Over two million children across four
counties count on CHOC to be here when they need us most—regardless of their family’s ability to
pay.
