LEARNING OBJECTIVES and INTERNSHIP TERMS OF REFERENCE Receiving Unit: The objective of the Turin School of Development (TSD) is to provide multi-disciplinary postgraduate learning opportunities with targeted content and effective delivery modalities, conducive to imparting the essential skills required to deal with today’s social, economic and environmental priorities at national and global levels. Please visit our website for additional information on the Masters available: http://www.itcilo.org/en/training-offer/turin-school-of-development Supervisor in charge of internship: Ms Blerina Pogace Learning objectives: The aim of this internship opportunity is to expose the students to the TSD’s programme of work and to get them involved in proposing refinements to the next editions of the Master and to on-going research works of the TSD. Internship Terms of Reference: The intern will be attached to the Master in Public Procurement for Sustainable Development with the following study/research tasks: • • • • • • • • Develop a global understanding on how training activities in the abovementioned areas of procurement management are designed and delivered. Undertake research in the fields of Sustainable procurement including life cycle analysis and procurement audit and international conventions on prevention of bribery in overseas procurement transactions. Find new contacts to promote the Public Procurement Master and specialised professional courses in procurement management. Other assignments related to the Master as requested by the Supervisor Reviewing Master’s theses submitted to the Master Program and proposing the best ones for peer review and publication on the TSD Working Paper Series Updating learning contents of the web-learning platform Assisting in course promotion for the Master programmes of TSD Producing write-ups for training materials in the fields of public procurement Reviewing and suggesting new material / (or updates) for the relevant topics of the master in Public Procurement 3. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/PROFILE Education: Languages: IT skills: Other skills: Enrolled on a graduate or postgraduate course or recently completed graduate or postgraduate studies in Economics, Law or Business Administration. Graduates of ITCILO/TSD Master’s programme will be given a special consideration. Fluency in English. Knowledge of another working language of the ITCILO will be considered an advantage. Excellent command of computer applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet browsers. Excellent communication skills. Results based working attitude. Ability to work independently as well as in a team. Sensitivity to multicultural and diversity issues. 4.
