(Feb. 4, 2015) – Compass Minerals announces appointments of vice presidents in the operations and finance groups. Barb Menard has been named vice president of Environmental Health, Safety and Security (EHS&S) and Jeffrey Curtis has joined the company as vice president and corporate controller. Menard was serving as an interim leader of EHS&S, since October 2014. In her new role, she will lead and manage all aspects of EHS&S for the company. Menard brings more than 24 years of experience in health, safety and environmental management to the company, and has extensive knowledge in industrial hygiene, manufacturing safety and Six Sigma continuous improvement strategies. She has a Master of Science in occupational & environmental health from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from McMaster University. Curtis brings nearly 30 years of accounting and financial experience to the finance leadership team at Compass Minerals. Most recently, he served as vice president/corporate controller for Coda Electric in Los Angeles. Curtis held controller roles at Tower International and Harman International. In addition, he had a distinguished 20-year career with Ford Motor Company, where he held various financial leadership positions including responsibility for SEC reporting. Curtis earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and chemistry from the University of Delaware, and a Master of Business Administration in finance and accounting from the University of Michigan.
