Lawyers and Alligators:
Two alligators are sitting on the edge of a swamp. The small one turns to the big one and says, "I don't understand how you can be so much bigger than I am. We're the same age, we were the same size as kids... I just
don't get it." "Well," says the big alligator, "what have you been eating?" "Lawyers, same as you," replies the
small alligator. "Hmm. Well, where do you catch 'em?" "Down at that law firm on the edge of the swamp."
"Same here. Hmm. How do you catch 'em?" "Well, I crawl under a BMW and wait for someone to unlock the
door. Then I jump out, bite 'em, shake the crap out of 'em, and eat 'em!" "Ah!" says the big alligator, "I think I see
your problem. See, by the time you get done shakin' the crap out of a lawyer, there's nothing left but lips and a
briefcase..."

Over breakfast one morning, a woman said to her
husband, “I bet you don’t know what day it is
today.” “Of course I do,” he answered indignantly,
as he slammed the door and drove to the office.
At 11 am, the door bell rang. The wife opened the
door and there was a UPS driver with a box containing 12 red roses in his hand. Later, at 2 pm,
there was another knock at th door, and this time
it was a box of Belgium chocolates. When the
husband came home, tired after a hard days
work, his wife greeted him by saying, “First the
flowers, then the chocolates. I have never had a
more wonderful Ground Hog day in my life!”
It’s Ground Hog Day Monday, February 2nd!

The pilot of an aerobatic biplane landed in the recently mown field of a Scottish farmer to
make a few adjustments to his engine. While he was tinkering with his machine, he noticed
the Scotsman and his wife watching with a great deal of curiosity. The Scotsman asked the
pilot how much he would charge to give both he and his wife a ride. 'Well', said the pilot,
'Normally I charge $50 dollars each, but if you are both completely quiet throughout the
flight, the ride will be free of charge. If I hear the least amount of noise, you will owe the full
fare.' The couple quickly climbed aboard, and the pilot taxied and took off. Immediately, he
proceeded to put his plane through all of its paces: barrel rolls, stalls, spins, split S maneuvers, you name it and he did it. The couple in back were completely silent throughout the
thirty minute flight. Upon landing, the pilot said, 'I really have to hand it to you for keeping
quiet through all that!' 'Aye', said the Scotsman, 'but I'll admit, ye almost heard me when the
wife fell out.'
Two Scotsmen met 25 years after their last get-together. They hugged and slapped
each others back and tears formed in their eyes as they renewed their old friendship.
"Let's have a drink like we did in the old days," the first Scot winked at his mate.
"Aye," his mate replied. "And don't forget it's your shout."
A Scottish cop was asked how he'd break up a crowd.. He answered, "I'd take up
a collection!"

Breakfast Program of Canada @
Houston Secondary School
Volunteers Needed
Houston Secondary School is pleased to announce
the introduction of a new breakfast program. This
new daily program will be sponsored by the Breakfast
Club of Canada and Rio Tinto Alcan and will run in
conjunction with our existing sponsor Breakfast Programme. Students in need will receive a hot, healthy
breakfast every day of the week. It takes a team of
people including active volunteers to provide this type
of amazing opportunity to our students. We would
like to thank the Bulkley Valley Credit Union for
providing volunteers to assist with prepping, serving
and cleaning up every Tuesday morning. We are still
seeking volunteers who could help out on any mornings except Tuesdays from 8:00am – 9:00am. If you
are willing to volunteer your time toward this worthwhile project, please call Sam Birkedal at 250-8457217. For more information, please visit breakfastforlearning.ca.
