Quick Reference Guide
myMedia allows you to stream media from your mobile device to a hotel TV. Currently, it can only be
used with IOS operating systems that support AirPlay. There are three different ways you can stream
your content to the hotel TV.
1. You can connect directly with Auto Authentication mode . The hotel must have an OVI server and
the guest must be logged into the hotels HSIA system.
2. You can connect through the myAway app.
3. You can connect directly using Auto Pairing.
Which method you use depends on which features your hotel offers. In all cases you must connect to the
hotels HSIA before you can use myMedia.
To play media from an iPhone or iPad on the hotel TV using Auto
Authentication mode and the myAway app:
1. Log in to the hotel’s High speed internet network with your iPhone or iPad.
2. Turn on the TV.
3. Start the myAway app on your mobile device. The Room Detected dialog box appears.
Note: If the Room Detected dialog box does not appear you will have to connect using a Connect
Code. See To play media from an iPhone or iPad on the hotel TV using the myAway app and
a connect code: for more instructions.
4. If the room number displayed in the dialog box is correct, tap Accept. The Select the TV page
appears.

Note: If the room number displayed in the dialog box is incorrect, you will have to connect with a
Connect Code. Tap Decline and see To play media from an iPhone or iPad on the hotel TV using the
myAway app and a connect code: for more instructions.
5. Select which TV you want to connect to.
The myAway Home page appears.
6. On the TV, choose MYAWAY CONNECT from the main menu. The Connect your Devices screen
appears.
7. Press OK on the Guest-tek remote. The timer starts.
8. On your iPhone or iPad, swipe from the bottom up to access the Control Centre.
9. Tap the AirPlay icon.

The AirPlay options appear.

10. Tap to select MyAway TV.
Tap here.
11. Tap Done. The AirPlay options close.
12. Swipe from top down to close the Control Centre.
13. On your iPhone/iPad locate and play your audio or video content. An alert appears on your device
indicating that the content is playing on the TV.
Note: It may take a few moments for the audio/video to appear on the hotel TV.

To play media from an iPhone or iPad on the hotel TV using the
myAway app and a connect code:
1. Go to the app store for your mobile device and download the myAway app.
2. Log in to the hotel’s HSIA network.
3. Start the myAway app on your mobile device. The myAway Login screen appears.
4. Turn on the TV.

5. On the TV, choose MYAWAY CONNECT from the main menu. The Connect your Devices screen
appears displaying the Connect Code.

6. In the Passcode field on your mobile device, enter the connect code displayed on the TV screen.
7. Tap Connect Me on your mobile device.

9. Select which TV you want to connect to.

To play media from an iPhone or iPad on the hotel TV using
Pairing Mode:
1. Turn on the TV.
2. On the TV, choose MYAWAY CONNECT from the main menu. The Connect your Devices screen
appears.
3. Press OK on the Guest-tek remote to start pairing mode.
4. On your iPhone or iPad, swipe from the bottom up to access the Control Centre.
5. Tap the AirPlay icon.
