The 8th Annual Catholic Charities CYO Athletics Hall of Fame dinner will recognize the individual
accomplishments of three extraordinary Hall of Famers and the San Francisco CYO Athletics
community. Catholic parishioners, pastors, principals, and civic leaders are expected to be in
attendance.
History: Founded in 1933, San Francisco CYO Athletics has provided healthy growth and
development opportunities for 81 years. In 2003, Catholic Charities and CYO merged to better
provide quality, comprehensive care for children, families and individuals in need. Today, the
combined Catholic Charities CYO serves more than 35,000 children, families, and other
individuals through over 30 programs.
Honorees:
Pete Franceschi - current St. Cecilia Boys Athletic Director for 29 years, former member CYO
Advisory Board, former Boys Basketball Committee member and Boys Soccer Co-Chair.
Sally Harrington - former Holy Name Girls Athletic Director who promoted and advanced girls
sports during the ‘70’s and ‘80’s.
Dimitrios Tsokas - current NDV Athletic Director for over 30 years, simultaneously serving as
former St. Mary’s Athletic Director for 17 years, former Girls Board member and Track/Cross
Country Co-Chair, currently on the CYO Advisory Committee.
Event Co-Chairs: Steve Tarantino, Jennifer Woodall, and Peggy Youngblood.
Tickets & Sponsorships: $90 per person; Table Sponsorships available at $300, $550, $800
