Core Business:
As a membership organisation, AMA Queensland provides dedicated and ongoing professional representation through
support, leadership, promotion and advocacy for the advancement of the medical profession at all stages of their career
Mission/purpose:
We exist to provide dedicated and ongoing professional representation to our members through support, leadership,
promotion and advocacy to advance the medical profession at all stages of their career and in doing so strengthen the
health system for the benefit of all Queenslanders
Vision:
AMA Queensland is the peak representative association of medical professionals incorporating strong commercial
partnerships and with a united substantial and significant membership that is highly respected by internal and external
stakeholders.

 To connect with and engage members and non-members through our unique points of
difference:
 To provide members with a place to associate
 To have clear and concise engagement message for each member segment setting out
the value of their AMAQ membership
 To identify and engage / cultivate / nurture brand ambassadors to drive AMA projects
and initiatives and support service delivery
 To give members a genuine sense of pride in being a member of AMAQ

Awareness &
Advocacy
 To raise awareness of the AMAQ Health Vision in the minds of members, the community
and government and create a sense of urgency for government and the community to act on
these issues
 To increase awareness of AMAQ messages and services to our members and nonmembers
 As a result of improved member engagement, that members take a greater role in informing
and shaping key policy and advocacy issues to Government and other stakeholders
 To give our members a voice to government, community and other stakeholders through
their AMAQ membership
