1 IGNITED IN CHRIST - WARRIOR PROGRAMME – 2015 www.ignitedinchrist.org 1. Why a Call for Warriors for Christ? Jesus loves all of His children and He sees and is well aware of the state of bondage (to satan) that His Bride, the Church, is in. He will soon be coming again and is looking for a spotless Bride without blemish to wait for Him. The Body of Christ (Christians) is generally broken and in bondage to satan in their souls and bodies. We (that are in the ministry of healing and deliverance) see, on a daily basis, the bondage that Christians find themselves in. Here are some recent statistics from our ministry (and we minister only to Christians): Out of the last 40 people that we have ministered to (more or less in the last year), 31 of them had demonic soul copies (DSC’s)1 in them. Out of this 31 who had DSC’s in them, 29 had more than 10 DSC’s in them and in 16 of these 31 there were literally thousands of DSC’s. All these DSC’s individually and together have a strategy from the enemy (satan) to destroy the particular person’s life. Usually, one can assume that demons follow DSC’s into the person’s soul and body since it is them that hold the particular DSC in its place and give it power. The following assumptions can therefore be made about the general state of bondage to satan within the Body of Christ: 3 out of every 4 Christians have DSC’s in them and often more than 10 DSC’s About 40% (2 out of every 5) of all Christians have literally thousands of DSC’s in them, each one with an assignment from satan to destroy that Christian in soul and body 1 A demonic soul copy is a copy of a person’s (still alive or already deceased) soul dimension that has been copied and pasted (by demonic forces) in someone else’s (still alive) soul and body, usually as a result of a blood line curse or as a result of unrepented sin in that person’s life. A DSC always has only an evil intention in the person in whom he/she has been copied. The Hindu’s see this phenomenon as reincarnation but that is a lie from the enemy. The truth is DSC’s that are a scheme from satan to destroy the human race, especially Christians. Ignited in Christ – Warrior for Christ programme – February 2015 2 Let alone the demons and bloodline curses in those Christians that have given the DSC’s the right to be there in the first place. If one then take into regard that often these bloodline curses, demons and DSC’s are generational (or become generational due to unrepented sin), it means that each following generation may fall into deeper and deeper bondage to satan if the army of the Lord does not rise up and take a stand and start to do something! 2. Aim and purpose of this programme The Warrior Programme of Ignited in Christ is aimed at equipping Christians to “set the captives free”. This is also the calling of our ministry. Isaiah 58: 6: Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To lose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens To let the oppressed go free And that you break every yoke? Every child of God should take serious Jesus’ Great Commission as best set out in Mark 16: 15 – 18: And He (Jesus) said to them: Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature He who believes and is baptised will be saved but he who does not believe will be condemned And these signs will follow those who believe: o In My name they will cast out demons o They will speak with new tongues o They will take up serpents o And if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them o They will lay hands on the sick and they will recover. In Matthew 28: 18 – 20 the Great Commission of Jesus is set out as follows: And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying: All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you And I am with you always, even to the end of the age. In short, if we say we are disciples (active followers) of the Lord Jesus Christ we should carry on with the work that He did whilst He was on earth. We should imitate Him and His ministry. Ignited in Christ – Warrior for Christ programme – February 2015 3 3. What is meant by a “Warrior for Christ”? In 2 Timothy 2 verses 1 to 13 we read the following about the good soldier for Christ: Prepared to endure hardship (all things) Active service in God’s army Engaged in warfare Wants to please Him who enlisted him as a soldier Do not entangle himself with the affairs of this life Prepared to suffer trouble even as an evildoer, even to the point of chains (but the word of God is not chained) For if we died with Him, we shall also live with Him, If we endure, we shall also reign with Him If we deny Him, He also will deny us If we are faithless, He remains faithful – He cannot deny Himself. Some disciples of Jesus Christ are currently being called up by Him in this time and season to serve as soldiers in His end-time army. Do you hear the Call???? Will you respond and enlist in His army???? 4. Who may enrol for this programme? Any believer in Jesus Christ who takes their role as an active disciple of Jesus Christ seriously. 5. When you have complied with all requirements under 5 above to IIC’s satisfaction; and When IIC has accredited you formally on its system (data-base) as an Ignited in Christ Warrior. What does it entail to be accredited as a Warrior for Christ by Ignited in Christ? Ministering to people on your own under the banner of Ignited in Christ (upon certain conditions and regulated by a formal agreement). Utilisation and distribution all of our training material, DVD’s etc. Utilisation of our documentation e.g. our questionnaire, agreement etc. Ignited in Christ – Warrior for Christ programme – February 2015 5 9. Assisting as a warrior at our training courses and during the practical afterwards. You may not receive any payment from the people you minister to other than donations. Any donations received may however either be kept or on-donated to IIC, in your discretion. You will have to comply with our list of requirements e.g. you may not minister alone (groups of 2 to 3 are preferred) and a man may not minister to a woman alone and vice versa etc. You will have to sign an agreement with IIC containing the terms of the association as well as an indemnity for IIC and yourself. As a Warrior for Christ of Ignited in Christ, you will be supported by IIC in the following ways: o We will register you on our data base as a “warrior” o Referral of people to ministered to o Ongoing prayer support by IIC and your fellow warriors o Ongoing advice and guidance by IIC o Ongoing spiritual support by IIC o Safety net – if you experience a problem that you feel unequipped to handle (back-referral or discussion) o Fellowship and being part of the IIC family of Warriors for Christ (at least 1 fellowship event per annum will be arranged for Warriors). o Learning from each other – at least 2 annual workshops for the Warriors in order to share knowledge. Will it cost me anything? Yes. Ignited in Christ is a non-profit company and therefore we do not have a profit motive. However, we do have various overhead expenditure and we have people that are full-time in ministry who therefore has no other income. We also need to test people’s commitment and loyalty in some way to ensure that we will not simply be abused for what we can offer without any loyalty and support from the people we are helping and guiding. To register for this programme costs R200 once off merely to cover our administration costs and overheads. You may choose to do this programme over 1 or 2 years. If you take longer than 2 years to complete the programme, you will unfortunately have to re-register for the programme and again pay R200 registration fee. Once you have become accredited by us as a Warrior of Ignited in Christ, we would also ask an annual loyalty fee of R100, simply to show your loyalty and commitment to the ministry. If the annual fee of R100 is not paid, the Warrior will be removed from our data-base and our agreement with that Warrior will be cancelled but the Warrior will still be able to serve and minister to the Body of Christ, independently from IIC. Any individuals who have serious financial problems and to whom these registration and loyalty fees are a hindrance to joining the programme, should send us an e-mail Ignited in Christ – Warrior for Christ programme – February 2015 6 to explain the situation. We will then consider to remit you from any fees so as to enable you to partake in the programme. 10. Qualities of a Warrior for Christ We should be imitators of Jesus Christ in all we do and therefore, one can list the following qualities of a Warrior for Christ (non-comprehensive): 10.1 A personal relationship with Jesus Christ It is not possible to stand in this ministry if you do not have a personal and intimate relationship with Jesus Christ as your Saviour but also as your friend. Jesus had an intimate and personal relationship with His heavenly Father whilst He was on earth. 10.2 A love for the Word of God A Warrior for Christ should love the Word of God and make it His own (absorb it into His spirit). The Word of God is one of the spiritual weapons that you will actively use when ministering to people in Jesus’ name and therefore you have to ensure that the sword of the Word is kept sharp and shining! 10.3 Know your identity and authority in Christ The first steps in becoming a Warrior for Christ is to learn your identity in Christ and secondly to know your authority in Christ. Jesus knew exactly who He was (the Son of God) and He also knew exactly what His authority was (as the Son of God all power in heaven and earth was given to Him by the Father). 10.4 Be baptised as a Believer (full immersion in water) and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit You simply cannot be in this ministry if you have not been obedient to our Lord’s call to baptism with water and Fire (the Holy Spirit). This process is where disciples of God receive their spiritual power and identity to be able to operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Jesus was baptised with water (full immersion) and with Fire (the Holy Spirit) before He began His ministry on earth. 10.5 Active prayer life Part of being a Warrior for Christ is to be on your knees as often as possible and to dedicate special time to intimate fellowship with Jesus. Jesus often separated Himself from His disciples and the people and went somewhere alone to talk to His Father. Ignited in Christ – Warrior for Christ programme – February 2015 7 10.6 Heard the Call Although Jesus has given all of us His great commission, focusing on setting the captives free by way of inner healing and deliverance must be in response to a specific call from God. The ministry of healing and deliverance is a war zone (if you do it right) since the enemy knows the power of this ministry. There is no other ministry within the Body of Christ that are under as much attack as the ministry of deliverance and healing (even from inside the Church through the demons of religion and leviathan!!). This ministry therefore requires soldiers that have been specially trained by Jesus in order to be able to cope with the pressures of the battle field. If your true calling is to rather pack the rat packs for the soldiers at home or to cook food for them back at base camp, then rather do not enrol as an active soldier. We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ has established us as a specialised unit within His end-time army. He wants us to go into spiritual places (war zones) to rescue and set free the captives (where other soldiers would normally turn around…). Jesus knew exactly why He came to the earth and what His assignment from God the Father was and therefore He was able to obey and persevere even until death. 10.7 Calculated the cost Before you say “yes” to Jesus in respect of this calling, please first sit down and calculate the cost (the words of Jesus Himself in Luke 14:28): For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it – Lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, Saying, “This man began to build and was not able to finish” ….. So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple. This is definitely the road less travelled by Christians but also the road that leads to the most awesome revelation, break-through and reward! The cost you may have to pay in your personal life include: Being rejected and labelled by family and friends as a “lunatic” who has lost all of his/her “marbles”! Being criticised for being radical, fundamental or irresponsible Carrying a spiritual burden with Jesus, although He says that His yoke is light and that the joy of the Lord is our strength Ignited in Christ – Warrior for Christ programme – February 2015 8 Living in the world but not being of the world Being prosecuted (spiritually and emotionally) for your faith in any way possible Being ostracised by family, friends and even your church Being attacked occasionally by the enemy in spirit, soul and body Constantly wrestling with God and man (Gen. 32: 28) Jesus knew exactly what it would cost Him to obey His Father’s will namely rejection, persecution and ultimately His life. Jesus says in Matthew 10: 25: It is enough for a disciple that he be like his teacher, and a servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more will they call those of his household! 10.8 Willing to pay the price Jesus said to His disciples in Matthew 8 and 10 that they must be willing to pay the full price of discipleship: Experiencing some discomfort and disgrace (Mat. 8: 20) Turning your back on your old life (Mat. 8: 22) Like sheep amongst wolves (Mat. 10: 16) Persecution (Mat. 10: 17 – 20) Being hated by everyone for the sake of the name of Jesus (Mat. 10:22) Disunity between family members (Mat. 10: 34 – 38) Losing your life for Jesus (Mat. 10: 39) Complete self-sacrifice (Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice – His body on the cross) 2 Timothy 3:12: Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. In Mark 8 verses 34 to 38 Jesus said to the people: Whoever desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels. 10.9 Boldness The Lord says in His Word that we must come before the throne of God with boldness. We can only do this if we realise that Jesus has paid with His Blood for us to be righteous before the throne of God, irrespective of our weakness and iniquities (sin). Ignited in Christ – Warrior for Christ programme – February 2015 9 A Warrior that knows this immediately feels worthy for the call since He realises that it is not about him or her but about Jesus. Because of what He has done for us on the cross, we can follow in His footsteps and become Warriors with boldness! 10.10 Fearless – be brave and courageous In Joshua 5 our Lord Jesus says to Joshua in verses 5 and 9 when He called him to save the nation of Israel from its enemies: 5: No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. 9: Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage, do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. 10.11 Meek and humble We must imitate our Lord Jesus in every way. Although He had all authority over the darkness and was able to heal every kind of sickness and cast out every kind of demon whilst on earth, He always remained meek and humble even unto death. He never retaliated when tempted thereto and was willing to turn the other cheek. Jesus was meek and humble even as He knew that He was the Son of God. We HAVE TO remain humble, to fall into spiritual pride is a classic strategy of the enemy against ministries that are into deliverance and healing. When pride creeps in God’s Holy Spirit will withdraw since God says in His Word that He resists the proud. 10.12 Eager to learn and study – teachable A Warrior must always be and remain teachable and be ready to learn new things. A sure sign of pride in a child of God is when that person starts to think that they know everything and are not prepared to listen to and learn new things. Jesus spent the first 30 years of his life learning the Scriptures and the Prophets to such an extent that when the devil tempted Him in the desert (just after His ministry began) He was able to answer Him upon every temptation with the Word! 10.13 Responsible We must however realise that being a Warrior for Christ is serious business in the spiritual world. The minute you enrol for this programme you can expect to be targeted by the enemy since when you take any quality decision for the Ignited in Christ – Warrior for Christ programme – February 2015 10 Lord you can expect to be attacked. You will immediately move up on his “hitlist”. This may be a worrying factor to most of you but to us it is actually a compliment since if the enemy aims at us to take us out, it must surely be because we are doing something right for Jesus’ Kingdom and are actually a threat to the enemy’s kingdom of darkness. You therefore have to live very responsibly as a Warrior of Christ and make sure that you do not wilfully sin (and if you do, you should immediately repent for it and ask Jesus to wash you clean with His blood). Listen to what God said to Joshua when He called him as a warrior: Joshua 1: 7 and 8: Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you: do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous and then you will have good success. 10.14 Motivated by love and a passion and desire to “heal the broken-hearted” Your service in God’s Kingdom as a Warrior for Christ must be motivated by love – your love for God and your love for your fellow man. Jesus says in His Word that the whole law and the prophets may be summarised in these 2 commands namely to first and foremost love the Lord your God with everything in you and then also to love your fellow man as you love yourself. In Luke 4:18 and 19 Jesus referred to the old Scriptures in Isaiah and said: The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor He has sent me to heal the broken-hearted To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind To set at liberty those who are oppressed To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD. Jesus has a heart for broken people. We should have that same heart and should be motivated by compassion and a desire to see broken people healed. In 1 Cor. 13: 1 Paul says: Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. Ignited in Christ – Warrior for Christ programme – February 2015 11 10.15 Righteousness This is a very righteous calling. In effect, as Warriors for Christ, you are called to be attorneys and prosecutors for Jesus Christ in the spiritual realm. As an attorney you defend another child of God’s case against the enemy who wants to destroy him and as a prosecutor you fight the case of getting the perpetrator (satan and his villains (demons)) prosecuted and sentenced in God’s court of law. You will learn that the spiritual realm is all about rights. The enemy for example may not oppress a child of God if either the child of God him- or herself or his/her forefathers have not given him the right. The right consists of unrepented sin (or sometimes unhealed trauma) or bloodline curses. Sin is similar to entering into a contract with satan, thereby giving him certain rights over your soul and body. One of the main characteristics of God is that He is righteous and if we follow into this calling, we also have to take on that characteristic of Jesus and we have to stand for what is right (according to God’s law) at all times. 10.16 Live a holy life - 100% obedience - Break with personal sin (e.g. addictions, sexual impurity, unforgiveness, fear etc.) If you are not prepared to live a holy life in complete obedience to God, do not enrol as a Warrior for Christ. Any wilful and unrepented sin in your life creates an open door in the spirit through which the enemy will be able to attack you. If you are not prepared to break with sin in your own life, it will be like going into a war zone without any protection. Destruction is bound to follow! God wants to always protect us but because of His righteous character He can only protect us as long as we obey Him. Hear what Peter says in 1 Peter 1 verses 14 to 16: As obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct because it is written “Be holy for I am holy.” There is no place for compromise with sin in any way. 10.17 Loyalty to fellow Warriors and to the Body of Christ Similar to the situation of when a battalion of soldiers go to war, they should look out for one another and a soldier should never leave behind his wounded buddy. Jesus wants us to serve in unity with each other and to be loyal to each other in everything that is right and just. Ignited in Christ – Warrior for Christ programme – February 2015 12 10.18 Always strive towards peace and unity in the Body of Christ It is not good to be alone in this calling and God knows this. We should therefore strive to live in peace and unity with our fellow warriors. No infighting, bickering or quarrelling is allowed. Although it is only human that we may pick up differences with our brothers and sisters in Christ from time to time, it should always be resolved in a Godly way. Jesus Himself said (Mat. 5:9): “Blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called sons of God.” 10.19 Immunity against rejection We can guarantee you that if you follow this calling, you will be rejected, even by some fellow-Christians! Rejection is a cancer in our society and can cause children of God to really act in a seriously ungodly way e.g. to take offense and retaliate etc. You therefore have to ask Jesus to strengthen and protect you against rejection with His blood in such a way that you will almost become immune against rejection and will not take offense when criticised or ridiculed (even by the people who are the closest to you). 10.20 Keeping a healthy balance and drawing of fences It is of the utmost importance that warriors should live balanced lives and that includes taking proper care of their bodies and souls by way of proper and regular exercise, a healthy diet and sufficient rest and relaxation. Also remember that your wife and children (or near ones) were given to you before you received this calling from the Lord and it is never God’s will that your family should be neglected as a result of your obedience to this calling. Ensure therefore that you give ample time and attention where it is needed so that holy family soul ties do not get damaged. However, no husband or wife or child should ever be in a position to prevent us from following the call of God on our lives. Jesus himself said in Matthew 10:37: He who loves father and mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. Always guard against burn-out. Pace yourself carefully and rest when you have to. Do not allow people or circumstances to manipulate or abuse you. Be a God pleaser and not a people pleaser! 10.21 Non-profit Jesus said: “Freely you have received, freely give” (Matthew 10:8). We are therefore convinced that no one should ask for money before they minister to someone. Money or compensation should play no role in following this Ignited in Christ – Warrior for Christ programme – February 2015 13 calling. If you are not prepared to do it for free, then do not do it. Money usually distorts things and are often the root of evil. This is something you have to do merely because of your love of God and for your fellow man. You may however receive donations of any kind. If you receive a donation and are not full time in ministry, please consider on-donating the funds (or at least a percentage there of) to Ignited in Christ or any other Christian ministry that are solely depending on donations for its continued existence. 11. If I accept the call of Jesus to become a spiritual warrior and would like Ignited in Christ to guide and help me, what should I do next? If you say “yes” to Jesus’ call to become a warrior for him and you want to be raised up as a warrior trough an association with Ignited in Christ, then simply send Deborah an e-mail ([email protected]) asking to be enlisted as a Warrior for Christ and also make payment of your registration fee into our bank account. Our banking details are on our webpage under “about us”. You will then be kept abreast of all developments in the warrior programme, will be invited to all of our training and we will also assist you in getting hold of the books that you need to read. When you attend our training sessions, you will be identified as a Warrior and upon completion of the programme and accreditation as a Warrior for Christ, you will have the option to purchase a TShirt with Ignited in Christ’s logo on it as well as the inscription “Warrior for Christ” and “Ignited in Christ”. Only then will you formally be considered as part of the Ignited in Christ army of end-time warriors. We look forward to this programme and sharing it with you. Although this is still in its infancy, we believe that the Lord has great plans for it and that you will all be raised up as mighty and fearless Warriors in His end time army! ALL PRAISE AND HONOUR TO YOU LORD JESUS CHRIST WHO ARE CALLING US UP TO FOLLOW YOU! Revelation 19: 11 – 16 AND THE END-TIME ARMY OF THE LORD SAYS: “YES AND AMEN LORD JESUS!” Ignited in Christ – Warrior for Christ programme – February 2015
