FEBRUARY 2015
YORK COUNTY LIBRARY NEWS & EVENTS
Library tax form supply extremely limited
Only forms 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ provided; No instructions, State publications available
Once again, York County Library will provide printed tax forms
from the IRS on a first-come, first-served basis. This year continues the recent trend of both the Federal and State governments
emphasizing more electronic filing and fewer paper forms. No
State forms or instructions will be sent to libraries.
The library received a message from the IRS stating that IRS appropriations were significantly cut in the 2015 Omnibus Appropriations bill recently passed by Congress. For this filing season,
York County Libraries will receive only Forms 1040, 1040A, and
1040EZ, in limited supplies.
No instruction booklets for Forms 1040, 1040A and 1040EZ will
be available through libraries. Copies of instructions and forms
are available through:
• IRS.gov/forms: to view and download
• IRS.gov/orderforms: to order tax products to be delivered
by mail
• 1-800-829-3676: to order tax products to be delivered by
mail
As a courtesy, we ask that you only take the forms and instructions you need personally, not for others. With so few printed
materials being sent, we cannot guarantee availability of any
pre-printed form or instruction book. For those who want to
print their own forms and instructions, electronic copies will be
available for printing at a cost per page.

Unusual creations (and visitors) at Clover, Lake Wylie Libraries
On Jan. 22, teens at the Clover Public
Library worked in teams to compete in
“Teen Iron Chef.” They created some fantastic works of art, including candy sushi
and a Twinkie masterpiece, from ingredients such as sandwich cookies, peanut
butter, chocolate syrup, gummy worms,
Nerds, and sprinkles.
The teens also participated in a round
of fun trivia. It was difficult choosing a
winner among the beautiful and creative
creations! Excellent work, guys! For more
great teen programs, see the events in this
issue or online at www.yclibrary.org.
Meanwhile, Lake Wylie Public Library
patron Mayhugh Horne spotted an unexpected visitor there. Maybe he didn’t know
that “hawking” is not allowed in the parking lot! Thank you for sharing, Mayhugh!
