Judicious doses of grooving percussion and jazz piano interweave with tempo breaks and dissonant harmonies. The tenor voice of Javier Di Ciriaco ventures to bold heights and intonates through dark recitative passages. Sometimes pop, sometimes wild, the arrangements erupt and spill over, exhibiting some of the energy which the sextet commonly and naturally develops on stage. Small solos and countless compositional details showcase the virtuosity of the artists…” Sexteto Milonguero Musical Theater Bremen TANGO BRUJO Tickets Ticketmaster, Nordwest-Ticket, Eventim and at evening box-office Discount All dance schools and groups as of 10 persons. APRIL 2015 After-Show-Party Tanz in den Mai Milonga & Salsa-Night Musical Theater Bremen Tango can also groove – not just tug the heartstrings Inflamed with passion for Tango Argentino, the musicians of Sexteto Milonguero consciously interweave stylistic motifs from Jazz, Rock and other rhythms of Argentine music into their arrangements and original compositions. TANGO BRUJO is a journey through time: from the tangos of the 1940s to their own moving and musically virtuosic compositions. With excursions into Argentine folklore such as Zamba, Chacarera and Chamamé. Karin Solana, formerly dancer of the John Neumeier Ballet, Hamburg, tells us in her dance collages, in which Modern dance and tango merge to a poetic pictorial and body language, about the diversity of human emotions. She contrasts loneliness, sadness and forlornness with greatest exuberances and joy of life. She speaks to us of longing and love. She meets our fears wth humour and a smile. And she also shows us the wonderfully silent irony and the despicable side of tango. She meets our fears wth humour and a smile. And she also shows us the wonderfully silent irony and the despicable side of tango. Tango is a language we all understand. Sexteto Milonguero Founded in 2006 by Javier Di Ciriaco, is one of the most successful live orchestras on the Argentine and international tango scene. With three Latin American and seven European tours spanning more than 20 countries as well as concert journeys to Canada, Shanghai and Singapore, they have also built up an ardently devoted following outside Argentina. Highlights of the Tour Europe 2013 included sold-out houses and standing ovations in the Tonhalle Düsseldorf, Szczecin Philharmonic in Poland, and the International House of Music und the Alexandrovskiy Concert Hall, both in Moscow.
