Two Day Workshop on Advanced Characterization

About the Department
A part of Anna University, College of
Engineering, Guindy (CEG), being one of the
premier institutions of higher education in India,
takes pride in having produced engineers of the
top caliber. A testimony to the green and lush
institute’s outstanding quality and excellence is its
consistent presence among the top ten positions in
multiple rankings of engineering colleges pan
India. Established in 1794, the iconic college has
been nurturing exceptional talents in science,
technology, business, and engineering. Roots of
CEG date back to May 1794 when it was formed
as a School of Survey. It was established as a
college in 1859 under the Madras University, and
is India's oldest engineering and technical
institution.

About the Workshop
The workshop will give the participants, an
exposure to the various characterization techniques.
The objective of the workshop is to familiarize with
the basic principle, working and analysis of the
samples using sophisticated instruments like XRD,
SEM, TEM, IR, Raman EBSD, TGA/DSC, etc. In
addition to the lectures by expertise from renowned
institutions, an exclusive lab visit is also planned for
the hands-on experiences.
The workshop will
provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and
views among the academicians, researchers,
industrial experts and scientists.
