OFFICE VOLUNTEER – PAIN MANAGEMENT
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Take telephone messages and report them to Helen Wilding
Always address patients by their preferred name
Always introduce yourself to patients
Always show patients and their families the level of respect you would expect
for yourself or your family
Must wear their identity badge at all times
Proofread training files both general and individual for work books in terms of
grammar and readability
Filing, photocopying, shredding, laminating
Advise staff of any problems that may arise
Attend Trust’s mandatory training
Remain professional at all times
Undergo training sessions as necessary
Assist with Trust’s initiatives/projects
Any other non-professional tasks as requested by staff
Comply with all Voluntary Services policies and procedures
Comply with all Trust Policies and Procedures
This list is not exhaustive and priorities will differ from session to session; however,
we do need to check the diary and emails and our files which will possibly advise of
any priorities.
