The 26th Annual Meeting of the ACDS is a full day focused on current issues in allergic, irritant,
occupational and other dermatoses. Presentations include oral and poster presentations on state-of-the
art research in the basic, applied and clinical science of contact dermatitis.

FISHER LECTURER The American Contact
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
The Alexander Fisher Lectureship is awarded in
honor of Alexander Fisher, MD in recognition of
his contributions to the field of contact dermatitis.
The lecturer is selected by committee based on
his or her contributions to contact dermatitis,
reflection of the spirit of Dr. Fisher’s enthusiasm
for the subject of contact dermatitis, and for
sharing knowledge and experience in evaluating
patients.
The 25th Annual Meeting of the American Contact Dermatitis Society is a
full day focused on current issues in allergic, irritant, occupational and other
dermatoses including atopic dermatitis. Presentations include oral and poster
abstract presentations on state-of-the art research in the basic, applied and
clinical science of contact dermatitis as well as interdisciplinary treatment of
contact and atopic dermatoses. A Contact Dermatitis DMOC exam session is
offered as an option.
As a result of participating in this activity, participants should be able to:

MAINTENANCE OF CERTIFICATION EXAMINATION IN CONTACT DERMATITIS
For the first time, a Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Module in Contact
Dermatitis will be offered in an optional second-track. It will be held on
Thursday, March 10, 2014 from 9:00 am – 10:00 am. Registrants will receive
CME credit for participation. The module will include 25 self-assessment
questions. The fee is $50.00 for ACDS members and $100.00 for nonmembers.
PRE-MEETING BREAKFAST IDEA – the International Dialogue on the
Evaluation of Allergens – managing fragrance allergens going forward.
AUDIENCE
Fragrance mixtures are ubiquitous in consumer products and are composed
of a variety of ingredients. Estimations by the industry suggest about 3000
materials are in use by IFRA members (International Fragrance Association
www.ifraorg.org). Some of these ingredients, from natural as well as synthetic
origin, possess well-known allergenic potential. Learn how these Standards are
established in order to reduce the allergenic potential as much as possible.
This conference is intended to bring physicians and industry professionals
together at various levels of knowledge and skills to acquire awareness,
knowledge and skills in contact dermatitis for the exchange of information
about the basic, applied, and clinical science of contact dermatitis and the skin.
Dr. Matthias Vey is a chemist by training. Since 2000 he has served as the
Scientific Director of IFRA, located in Brussels, Belgium. He is responsible for
the management of the fragrance industry’s worldwide voluntary regulatory
program, including the IFRA Code of Practice and the therein contained
Standards for the safe use of fragrance ingredients. He manages IFRA’s
science related committees and technical communication as well as the IFRA’s
compliance program.
The primary target audience of the American Contact Dermatitis Society’s
Annual Meeting is its members. Secondary audiences for the meeting include
dermatology residents, basic scientists, nonmember dermatologists, allergists,
patch test coordinators, researchers, and industry personnel.
The content of this meeting addresses learners who are new to diagnosing
allergic contact dermatitis through patch testing with a breakout session
focused on basic clinical procedures. Experienced dermatologists with a strong
knowledge of contact dermatitis and patch testing may attend a maintenance
of certification session approved by the American Board of Dermatology.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
6th CONTACT ALLERGEN BEE We are pleased to announce the 6th Contact
Allergen Bee, a contest for dermatology residents sponsored by DERMATITIS.
Winners will be awarded up to $1000 (and up to $2000 in total prizes).
The contest will be held Thursday, March 19, 2015 during the annual
meeting of the American Contact Dermatitis Society (ACDS). Although not
required, we strongly encourage attendance at the meeting in which residents
can register at a discounted rate (visit www.contactderm.org).
How to join? Have your residency director or a faculty member in your
program who is an ACDS member submit your name, email address, and
phone number to [email protected] no later than February
19, 2015. You must be a resident in good standing at the time of the contest.
Previous non-winning contestants may rejoin. Entries are limited to 2
representatives per program. Content of questions is based on papers published
in DERMATITIS from 2011 through 2014.

ROUNDTABLE LUNCHEON The 2015 Annual Meeting will again include a
Luncheon which will feature the 6th Annual Contact Allergen Bee. Space
will be limited; be sure to sign up. The Lunch Session is supported by an
unrestricted educational grant from Chemotechnique/Dormer. Session is
included with registration but requires a ticket with your table number. Seats
are randomly assigned so members have an opportunity to meet new members.

GENERAL INFORMATION
DERMATITIS Dermatitis is the official journal of the American Society of
Contact Dermatitis. This quarterly, peer-reviewed journal, under the direction
of Editor-in-Chief Ponciano D. Cruz, MD, provides clinically focused articles
on diagnosis and treatment of dermatologic conditions caused by irritants
and allergic reactions. Available online, Dermatitis is searchable and accessible
anywhere there is an internet connection and on the iPad. The journal is free
with an ACDS membership.
ACDS MEMBERSHIP Membership in ACDS is open to dermatologists,
physicians, researchers and medical professionals with an interest in dermatitis
and occupational dermatology. Membership information can be found at
www.contactderm.org.
CME ACCREDITATION AND CREDIT DESIGNATION This activity has been planned
and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the
Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint
providership of Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College
of Medicine (FIU/HWCOM) and the American Contact Dermatitis Society
(ACDS). FIU/HWCOM is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing
medical education for physicians.
Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine
designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.5 AMA PRA Category 1
Credit(s)TM. Physicians should claim only the
credit commensurate with the extent of their
participation in the activity.
EARLY REGISTRATION Register before March 1, 2015 to receive the early
registration fee. Early registration is $125.00 US for ACDS members, $250.00
US for non­members. Dermatologic nurses or assistants of ACDS members
may attend for $50.00 if accompanied by the member.
Residents who pre-register and provide proper documentation from their
department chair may attend at no charge.

DATE/TIME/PLACE The ACDS Annual Meeting is held March 19, 2015 at
the Park Central Hotel San Francisco (formerly the Westin San Francisco),
50 Third Street, San Francisco, CA. Registration begins at 7:00 AM and
the meeting is followed by a cocktail reception at 5:15 PM.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS Registration fees, less a $25 administrative fee,
will be refunded upon notice of cancellation. In order to qualify for a refund
of fees, cancellation notice must be received in writing at the headquarters
office no later than March 1, 2015. After that date, no refunds will be given.
No-shows will not be eligible for a refund.
HOTEL RESERVATIONS Rooms are blocked through the American Academy
of Dermatology. Go to www.aad.org for housing arrangements.
