Class of 2015 Seniors and Parents of Seniors
The Graduation Fee associated with this year’s ceremonies is now available on FeePay. The Graduation Fee of $40 covers
all auxiliary expenses associated with graduation (programs, rentals, security, etc). Parents, please log into
SchoolView/FeePay to cover this fee at your earliest convenience. (Please note, this fee will only appear in a parent’s
SchoolView/FeePay account – not the student’s SchoolView account). (1)
COLLEGE AND SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
A list of current scholarship opportunities can be found on Family Connections. Once you log in to Family Connections, go to the "Colleges" tab, scroll down
and click on the "scholarship list" link to view the list of scholarships and/or download scholarship applications.
Scholarships
The Rosemount Middle School Jerry Cassem Memorial Scholarship applications are available in the Career Center and on
Family Connections. 3-$500 awards given. Due to RMS by 4/17/15 (2)
The Shannon Park Elementary in Memory of Glenda Bauer Scholarship application is now avail. in Career Center and in
Family Connections. Two $1250 awards. Due in Career Center. by 4/1/15 (2)
The Grace Preschool (formerly Grace Nursery School) of Apple Valley Scholarship application is now available in the Career
Center. One $300 award will be given to a graduating senior who attended Grace Preschool. Due 4/10/15. (3)
The RHS Dance Scholarship application is now available on Family Connections and in the Career Center. 1-$500 award will
be given. Due Friday 4/3/15. (3)
Southview Elementary PTO/Paul Rice Scholarship applications are now available in the Career Center and on Family
Connections. $2000. Due by 4/6/15. (3)
Scott Highlands Middle School offers 3 different scholarships…The Ron Finger Education for those going into education, The
Alumni, and the Kaleigh Faeh Memorial Scholarships. All on Family Connections and in Career Center. All due 4/3/15. (3)

Juliet Evans Nelson Scholarship app available in the Career Center. One $2500 award to JUNIOR student this year entering
post-secondary in 2016. Based on volunteerism and making a difference in the community. Due by 3/20/15. (1)
RHS Women's Soccer Scholarship Applications now available on Family Connections and in Career Center. Senior who has
played soccer both jr. and sr. year at RHS at any level. Due to Lynn in Career Ctr. by April 1st. (2)
MN Association of Townships offers up to 4-$1000 scholarships to JUNIOR students. Based on Essay on given topic. More
info on Family Connections. Apps and instructions in Career Center or at www.mntownships.org. Due May 1, 2015 (2)
The TEAM Kaleigh Memorial Scholarship applications are available in the Career Center and in Family Connections. 15$1000 awards will be given. Include Essay/Transcript with minimum GPA of 3.25/community service and 2 letters of
recommendation with application (2)

ATHLETICS
Boys Lacrosse
Mandatory Parent/Player meeting on Wednesday, February 25th. Freshmen meet at 6:30 pm in the Student center and
grades 10-12 meet at 7pm. (2)
Boys Tennis
There will be a mandatory meeting for all boys interested in playing tennis this Spring and their parents on Thursday, Feb
26th at 7PM in the student center. Please email Coach Dana Beck with any questions or if you can't attend. (3)
Girls Lacrosse
All girls interested in playing lacrosse this spring are asked to attend the player meeting on Fri. Feb. 27 at 4pm in room 120.

Attention Girls: The Girls Golf team is looking for new and experienced girls to join the team this spring. All girls are

Icettes

Congratulations to the District 196 Icettes Figure Skating team that placed 3 overall at the ISI Winter Classic National
competition held in St. Louis, Missouri, February 13-15. Next up is the annual ice show, with this year’s theme “life on Ice.”
The show is March 12-14 at AVHS Arena. The RHS Icettes are Makayla DeVries, Melissa Sawyer, Alli Peterson, Maddy
Moran, Melanie Nelson, Asmaa Myran, Kira Dobberman, Jacia Christiansen and Aleia Anthony.

Speech Team
Eastview Speech Meet Winners are as follows: Nicole Hutchinson: 2nd in storytelling, 7th in humorous; Ryan Poelher: 2nd
in extemp reading, 6th in prose; Nnamdi Okorie: 5th in storytelling; Joan Yambing: 14th in extemp reading; Molly Cornell:
