----------------------------------------------------Battle of the Books
Battle of the Books is a statewide program
designed to promote a love of reading
among our students. It encourages students
to read a variety of books and remember
information about the plots, characters, and
settings of the stories. This year, the Shell
Lake School Library is sponsoring four
teams. All participating elementary students
across the state were given the same list of
20 books to read and will be taking online
tests about each book. The questions were
created by a variety of professionals from all
around the state of Wisconsin. Only one
team can compete at the state level, so this
week our four local teams will battle it out
to see who advances to state. The 2015
teams are: Little Skittles: Frances Kevan,
Grace Thomas, Addy Schroeder & Brooke
Lehnherr; The Four Stooges:
Ariel
Christenson, Makenna Anderson, Julia
Lyga, Haley Balts; Armored Nerds:
Ashlynn Madsen, Alex Goerler, Dylan
Taylor, Jerid Egbert; Monster Readers:
Cody J. Swan, Alexis McCracken,
Christopher Robinson, John Harrington.
Good luck to all the teams. Let the battle
begin!
