Let me turn and follow you and never be the same. In your company I’ll go where your love and footsteps show. Thus I’ll move and live and grow in you and you in me. KELVINGROVE *Affirmation of Faith (8:15) Lizzie Tollison; (9:30) Reilly Grant; (11:00) Will Minton We trust in God, whom Jesus called Abba, Father. In sovereign love God created the world good and makes everyone equally in God’s image, male and female, of every race and people, to live as one community. But we rebel against God; we hide from our Creator. Ignoring God’s commandments, we violate the image of God in others and ourselves, accept lies as truth, exploit neighbor and nature, and threaten death to the planet entrusted to our care. We deserve God’s condemnation. Yet God acts with justice and mercy to redeem creation. In everlasting love, the God of Abraham and Sarah chose a covenant people to bless all families of the earth. Hearing their cry, God delivered the children of Israel from the house of bondage. Loving us still, God makes us heirs with Christ of the covenant. Like a mother who will not forsake her nursing child, like a father who runs to welcome the prodigal home, God is faithful still. With believers in every time and place, we rejoice that nothing in life or in death can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. WE GO IN GOD’S NAME *Hymn - All in All You are my strength when I am weak. You are the treasure that I seek. You are my all in all. Seeking you as a precious jewel, Lord to give up, I'd be a fool, You are my all in all. (Chorus) Jesus, Lamb of God, worthy is Your name. Jesus, Lamb of God, worthy is Your name. Taking my sin, my cross, my shame, Rising again, I bless your name. You are my all in all. When I fall down, you pick me up. When I am dry, you fill my cup. You are my all in all. (Chorus) *Charge and Benediction (8:15) Olivia Joyner; (9:30) Madison Riley; (11:00) Anna Rawls *Congregational Response - All in All, chorus *Chiming of the Trinity Greeters: 9:30 - Caitlin Fountain, Charlie Queen, Sam Corkey, Nate Albertson, Jack Godwin; 11:00 - Maggie Montgomery, Joey Burroughs. The Dinner and Silent Auction helps raise essential funds to bring youth on mission trips to places such as Baltimore Appalachia, Charlotte and Western North Carolina to do the work of Christ. In addition to raising these funds, the dinner allows fellowship together and an opportunity to celebrate our friendships as a church family. This year we raised $15,000 for summer mission trips. Thank you to everyone who helped prepare this event, donated items and supported us by attending the dinner. We had over 50 youth volunteering their time and efforts to serve our wonderful meal. Special thanks to our DSA Co-Chairs Laura Clark and Julie Hardesty; Betsy Green and her team on decorations; and the full DSA Committee for organizing the meal and auction items. We also thanks our food service staff for creating a delicious meal.
