Thanks to your support and loyalty, Kemba had a
phenomenal year serving our members in 2014. Our
loan growth was at the top of the credit union industry.
Members continue to come to Kemba and finance their
home or new car. Our membership also recognizes the
value of a Kemba checking account, as we had major
growth in meeting all of your everyday financial needs.
Members continue to benefit from our developing product
line. Our addition of mobile check deposit to the mobile
app offers members the convenience desired in today’s
busy world. A new online banking system is being
developed and will be available in mid-2015.
A new online mortgage system will allow members more
tools for finding their dream home and financing it with
Kemba. We will partner with Star One Realtors to
enhance your home buying process. Star One is a local
network of realtors with strong community ties. As with
Kemba, Star One prides itself on personal service to their
clients. This program is planned to kick-off in the first
quarter of 2015.
We plan to enhance our payment methods for Kemba
debit and credit cards this year. Apple Pay is in the works
and should be available to the membership in the first half
of 2015. Apple Pay allows you to pay with your Kemba
debit or credit card on your iPhone 6. Your debit and
credit card will have enhanced security as EMV cards are
planned for 2015. EMV chip cards will reduce many
types of fraud and minimize the financial impact of the
many retailer data breaches.
Over the past year your credit union has been very active
in the community. Some of the events we’ve participated
in include:
Shred Day – Helped more than 3,000 households
securely shred documents and sensitive information.
Freestore Foodbanks Rubber Duck Regatta – Kemba
members helped provide more than 120,000 meals to
families and children in need.
Partnership with 5 Cares Coat Drive-Kemba members donated more than 1,000 coats.
2014 Corporate Special Olympic Games Participant
Adopt-A-Class – Provided gifts and meals to 25
underprivileged students and their families.

Board Members
up for 3 year terms
Steve Behler
Steve Behler is President/CEO of
Kemba Credit Union. He has been
employed by the credit union for thirtysix years. Steve has served on the
Board of Directors of Kemba Credit
Union as Treasurer since 2002. He
serves on the Executive Committee,
Audit Committee, Investment
Committee, Benefits Committee and
is Chairman of the Asset/Liability
Committee. Steve is on the Board of
Directors of the Community Depository
Institution Advisory Council with the
Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland.
He also serves as Secretary on the
Cincinnati Fire Foundation Board
of Directors and is a member of the
Credit Union Executive Society. Steve
is a former board member of the
Credit Union National Association and
the Ohio Credit Union League. He
attended the University of Cincinnati.
Dottie Carnes
Dottie has been a Kemba member
since 1970. She has been a Kemba
board member since 1974. Dottie
has served as Secretary of the Board
for thirty-seven of her forty years on
the board. Dottie also serves on the
Benefits Committee and is a member
of the Executive Committee. She
retired from her position as Benefits
Manager at SupeRx Drugs in 1986
following twenty-three years of
combined service with The Kroger
Co. and SupeRx Drugs. Dottie wishes
to continue to build on the success
Kemba has enjoyed for many years.
Tim Martin
Tim has been a Kemba member
since 1965. He has been a Kemba
board member since 1997. Tim spent
twenty-one years with The Kroger
Co. before taking early retirement in
1986. Prior to retirement, he worked
at Kroger General Office in Corporate
Purchasing and Trade Relations. He
is the former owner of the John T.
Martin Company, a food packaging and
supermarket supplies brokerage firm.
Tim has a BBA from the University
of Cincinnati and received his MBA
from Xavier University. He was a
part-time instructor for 22 years at
Thomas More College in the Business
Administration Department. Tim wants
to play a positive role in enhancing
the continued growth and success of
Kemba and feels that his educational
and business experiences will help him
to do this.

The tax return preparation process
is simple, with several options to fit
your needs:

You can drop off your tax material at your
local Kemba branch. Kemba will submit
it for processing to Albertz & Associates.
The completed tax forms will be returned
to your local branch within approximately
5 business days. Someone from Albertz &
Associates will contact you to tell you when
you can pick up your completed tax returns.

If your return is simple, you may elect to
have Mark Albertz prepare your return at
our West Chester office while you wait.
These appointments are designed to be 1
hour in duration. To schedule, simply call

You can drop off your materials directly
at the Albertz & Assoc. office in
Springdale – 1329 East Kemper Road
