For more information, visit www.composersandschools.com Annual Membership Application Deadline May 1, 2015 Membership Types A) Annual Commission Consortium Member During the upcoming academic year, one of your youth ensembles will have the opportunity to commission a composer and participate in a nationwide commission consortium. The score is delivered in the winter of 2016 for spring 2016 concerts. You will receive: One new piece created for the consortium, a get-to-know-you session with the composer in the fall, two video rehearsals with the composer in the winter or spring plus a video appearance* at the concert (if desired), custom score and parts, a professional concert poster, and press and media promotion for the concert. There is a consortium for every major ensemble type. Each project promises to be a colorful, magical and engaging new work offering both artistic and educational opportunities. *If the composer is local, s/he may appear in person (if desired). B) Annual Score Library Member Twice per year, in the fall and in the winter, you will receive a full score and parts from pieces in our selective contemporary score library: an online catalog of high-quality contemporary scores well-suited for young performers. 1.
