INFORMATION
Ungooroo Aboriginal Corporation (UAC) is a not for profit,
community based organisation that assists the Upper Hunter
Aboriginal Community to achieve their vision for the future so
they have equivalent access and outcomes in education,
training, employment and economic participation as enjoyed by
the community as a whole, whilst retaining the unique heritage
and traditions of the Wanaruah Community.

through providing a range of services such as health, youth support,
training & employment opportunities, economic development
and social inclusion services to the community.

UPPER AND LOWER HUNTER VALLEY
Ungooroo Ungooroo provide support for Aboriginal young
people aged 12-24 who are homeless or at risk of
homelessness. Ungooroo provide information, resources and
practical support that empowers young people towards self
reliance and independence. Ungooroo provides early
intervention, intense case management, living skills
workshops, referrals and advocacy, education and
employment support, access to transitional accommodation
and support to enter the private rental market. Referrals can
be made by support services, schools, family, friends or self
referral.
We have had successful PACE Programs over several
years and have developed healthy strong relationships
and collaboration within the Schools of the Upper
Hunter to enhance each PACE Program. This has
developed into successful MOU’s that have been
activated between UAC and Singleton High School.

Ungooroo values our quarterly Elders Morning Teas as
