HR INFORMATION SYSTEM (HRIS) SPECIALIST
FULL-TIME POSITION- WEST VANCOUVER
Provides specialized expertise to support the delivery of HRIS services and all related
system upgrades, enhancements, implementation of modules, testing,
maintenance, auditing, procedural development, user support, reporting, and other
system-based activities in support of all HR functions. Participates in collaborative
information sharing, problem solving, and decision-making with other HR specialists;
and delivers specialized expertise to support HR Consultants in the effective
implementation of HR plans and initiatives in a seamless service delivery model for
client groups across FNHA. Reports to the Manager Program Development.
Qualifications & Competencies:
The requirements for this role would typically be acquired through a degree in
business systems or a related discipline, and 4 to 6 years of experience in HR
systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge










In-depth knowledge of PeopleSoft (Advanced PeopleSoft Query Tool Skills) an
asset
Advanced use of Microsoft Office products
Working knowledge of database maintenance and basic project management
tools and concepts (preferably MS-Project)
Solid knowledge of the concepts, practices, methods and techniques pertaining
to human resources information systems
Effective interpersonal and communications skills to provide end-user support,
including advice on HR systems capabilities and training end-users; and to
facilitate meetings
Commitment to work in a team environment demonstrating a positive
approach and co-operation coupled with a strong customer service orientation
Detail oriented and ability to follow through
Solid planning, organizational skills and time management skills to meet the
needs of multiple HR functional areas
Excellent analytical skills to address system-based requirements and perform
analysis on a range of HR issues
Solid problem solving skills to diagnose day-to-day HR systems-related
issues/requirements and troubleshoot solutions
