The classes are being offered at Floral Park Memorial and New Hyde Park Memorial High Schools. The program is designed to provide enjoyment and recreational program. All participants must wear sneakers. Please check with your physician to confirm appropriateness of basketball as part of your exercise routine. Fee: $95.00 Limit 30 Yoga Beginning: 7:15 – 8:30 PM Advanced: 8:45 – 10:00 PM This beginner course is open to men and women of all ages. Participants will enjoy flexibility, strength and improved posture. Experience deep relaxation and reduce stress. Bring a workout yoga mat. Fee: $50.00 Limit: 20 Zumba 7:15 – 8:15 PM An exciting fitness class that features music from around the globe and dance styles ranging from Latin to Hip-Hop. Zumba is a cardio class that sustains your heart rate at a healthy level to enhance weight loss and lean muscle sculpture. Fee: $50.00 Limit: 40 Pickle Ball 7:30 – 9:30 PM Pickle Ball is the hottest new game sweeping the country! Pickle Ball is a combination of tennis, ping pong, racquetball and badminton. Played with lightweight paddles and a plastic ball, it is easy to learn and FUN TO PLAY! Fee: $90.00 Limit: 30 Conversational English 7:15—8:15 PM This course is designed for those who wish to learn or improve English Language skills. Emphasis placed on developing conversation proficiency. Have fun learning and Improving your skills while playing each week. Fee: $80.00 Limit: 50 Introduction of Bollywood Dance 7:00 – 10:00 PM The course will combine traditional Indian Folk and classical dance styles with hip hop, jazz and contemporary movements of bhangra. The dance curriculum includes the teaching of Bharatnatyam, Kathak and Bollywood dance styles from elementary to advanced levels. Fee: $95.00 Limit: None Zumba 7:15 – 8:15 PM An exciting fitness class that features music from around the globe and dance styles ranging from Latin to Hip-Hop. At the completion of this course, participants are encouraged to practice their new moves in a ballroom dance setting (No partner required). Fee: $50.00 Limit: 50 Community Band 7:15 – 9:30 PM Adult musicians wanted. There are few districts that have band classes as part of their adult education program. The emphasis would be playing for fun and improve one’s musical ability. (Adults only) All players are welcome regardless of playing level. Participants must provide their own instrument. Fee: $30.00 Limit: None Planning for Social Security 7:30 – 8:30 PM (One night ONLY – March 19) This course helps you plan for your retirement Fee: $25.00 Limit: 40
