Job description Shop, Catering and Logistics assistant General Location: The Netherlands Pavilion at the World Expo 2015 - possibly at times at the Museo Leonardo da Vinci in Milan city centre. Working area The shop of the Netherlands Pavilion will be your main working area. You will be part of a team of young people of Dutch, Italian and mixed nationalities, working together under the guidance of the Pavilion’s Store Managers. Main responsibilities and tasks 1. Tasks involving serving in the souvenir shop - Welcome visitors in a friendly manner - Explain the content and composition of the items on sale - Handling of the payments with the cashier system - Stocking supplies, alerting shortage or damage of articles and products, checking central supply - Assisting in the display of goods - Keeping the shop, display installations and cupboards clean - Unwrapping and storing of deliveries 2. Possible tasks involving service in the Food Trucks - Take orders, recommend and explain menu items, ingredients and preparation - Finish and serve the dishes / food - Handle the payment of purchases - Timely disposal of waste in right container Other job features - Know and be able to the ideas behind the Dutch Pavilion, the content of the exhibition items as well as the activities at the Pavilion - Some working hours at the logistics department Main requirements - Good Italian and English (B2 or higher), other languages are a plus. Able to travel to and from the Expo site within 1,5 hour A presentable appearance Friendly, polite and patient manners Eye for shop appearance Flexible and team player Experience in a similar job is an asset Terms and conditions Working period: 2 months (May/June, July/August, September/October) 40 working hours per week. Five eight-hour shifts per week, with the early shift starting around 9.30 and the late shift ending around 22.00 hrs.
