February - École Opasquia School

Rocks!
Parents and guardians;
Please join me in being proud of Room 16. They have worked hard and it is paying off! The
class is rockin’ multiplication. Ask your child how they get to an answer for 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10 and
11 times a number. See if they will share with you, because they are pretty proud of themselves
too.
We are sure busy this month; it’s a cultural extravaganza! We have Valentine’s Day
celebrations and Trappers’ Festival activities. In Social Studies we are learning about other
cultures as well. We are different, yet amazingly the same in a lot of ways. Our class continues to
be super readers. This is I Love to Read Month so we are going to celebrate that too. We have
been honing our writing skills by writing collaborative stories together and writing independently
too.
Important dates to remember this month include:
Valentine’s Day Party
Trappers’ Festival Activities
