South Padre Island, TX – February 25, 2015: The City of South Padre Island Municipal Court along with over 300 law enforcement agencies across Texas will participate in the “Statewide Warrant Roundup” beginning Saturday, February 21st, 2015 and ending Sunday March, 15, 2015. The roundup is designed to target thousands of defendants with traffic, parking, city ordinance, penal code and higher charge warrants from participating jurisdictions. Cities will work together to enforce outstanding warrants from their own and other cities for individuals living within their jurisdiction. Affected persons are urged to contact the appropriate jurisdictions during the next two weeks to take care of their cases voluntarily and avoid the inconvenience and embarrassment of arrest at home or work. Those with outstanding warrants are urged to contact the South Padre Island Municipal Court before Saturday, March 7th, 2015 for information on how to pay all outstanding fines.
