MiniCore
Greenheck’s MiniCore is an energy recovery ventilator that utilizes a total energy core to reduce your building’s
heating and cooling loads. The MiniCore will provide your building with preconditioned fresh outdoor air for
commercial applications ranging from 300 to 1,000 cfm.
Multi-Functional Solution
Designed for indoor installations with multiple mounting features, this
model can configure to various ductwork arrangements. Ideal for schools,
dormitories, offices, nursing homes and locker rooms.
Energy-Saving Technologies
With the Lossnay® by Mitsubishi Electric total energy core, your building will
be provided with durable energy recovery technology. Combined with the
options for Vari-Green® motors, the MiniCore is a cost-effective solution with
opportunity for substantial energy savings.

Total Energy Core Technology
The Lossnay® by Mitsubishi Electric total energy core
is constructed of specially processed hydroscopic
resin layered in a cross-flow corrugated structure.
The core is designed to separate the supply and
exhaust air, ensuring only fresh air is introduced into
the indoor space.
This special material provides superior heat transfer
and moisture permeability. This provides highlyefficient total energy recovery when the supply and
exhaust air cross within the total energy core.
Applying energy core technology to a building
ventilation system reduces the load on the building’s
air conditioning and heating systems while adhering
to ASHRAE 90.1-2010, ASHRAE 90.1-2013 and the
2012 IECC energy requirements.

MiniCore
Installation
The illustration shows a MiniCore
in a ceiling hung installation.
Outdoor air is drawn through a
roof mounted gravity intake hood
and preconditioned by the total
energy core. Outdoor air is then
supplied either to an air handler
or directly to the space. Energy
is recovered from stale return air
before it is exhausted through a
wall cap.
