broadcast live over 93.9 FM and 1480 AM. The broadcast is paid for by this
congregation and the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home. 93.9 FM and 1480 AM
Radio, Carlisle, also simulcast our 9:00 a.m. worship service through its website
at www.WIOO or click on the link at the bottom of Messiah’s website,
www.messiahshippensburg.com. Pastor Steve’s sermons are available in a PDF
downloadable form on the church website.

Sign – Up Sheet Posted – The sign-up sheet to sponsor the chancel flowers and
worship folders for 2015 is posted on the bulletin board across from the
restrooms. The cost to sponsor the chancel flowers has increased to $40.00 for
2015.

Quilting - March 4 is our next Baby Quilts ministry gathering in conjunction with
Emmaus Nights. We will gather in the Kindergarten classroom at 6:30 pm. All
are welcome regardless of experience level.
Acolyte and Bible Bearer training will take place immediately after Sunday
School (11:10) in the sanctuary on March 1 and March 8. Current Bible
Bearers and Acolytes must see Linda Dickinson to sign up for particular
dates. Bible Bearers must be four years old. Acolytes must be at least third
grade. If your child has never done either of these services, please
consider having them sign up. We are particularly hoping to have more
older youth participate this year, but we welcome ANY age!
New Worship Service – If you are interested in an alternative worship service at
Messiah Church a meeting will be held on March 3rd at 7:00 p.m. in Fellowship
Hall.
Church Yard Sale - "Clutter for Causes" is coming on Saturday, March
21st. This yard sale is to raise money for charity, any charity you
choose. Participation costs $5.00 to rent space and church tables, however, if you
bring your own table(s) you can set up for FREE. The only requirement is that a
percentage of your profits must go to a charity of your choice. We will set up on
Friday night, March 20th, from 4-8 p.m. and our sale runs, Saturday 8 a.m.-2
p.m. Some outside groups are interested in participating in this yard sale, so if
you are interested, please notify us soon, as space will fill up quickly. For
reservations or any questions, please call Susie Cook, 532-7210, or Marcie
Taylor, 532-8922.
Easter Candy Needed - We are asking for wrapped Easter candy donations to fit
inside plastic eggs for our Egg Hunt on March 22nd. Candy boxes are in the office,
Grades 1 – 5 Sunday School room, and outside the Choir Room. Thanks!
Mission Central - Starting in February Messiah Church will be collecting items
each month for Mission Central in Mechanicsburg. Some of the items they are
currently in urgent need of are clotheslines (The plastic, cotton or nylon
clotheslines should be 50 or 100 feet in length.), Handi-wipes, and two inch
packing tape for the Relief Kits. We will begin by collecting those items in
February and March. Please place your donations in the blue bins located by the
choir room and in the back of the sanctuary.

us!!!
