Proposed by Sr. Marie Azzarello, CND and Sr. Rachel Gaudreau, CND, the texts are inspired by Sr. Marie’s book Mary and the Maternal Face of God. Reimagining Ourselves as Church. The fiveweek retreat leads us into a spiral of profound reflection that each can experience at one’s own rhythm, in the privacy of one’s home. Retreatants who wish to share their experiance are welcome to do so by writing to Sr. Marie and Sr. Rachel at [email protected]. Calling all Catholic Homeschooling Families and Families Considering Homeschooling I am starting a Montreal Catholic homeschooling social group where children and parents can socialize and at the same time be with families who practice the same faith! Parents will benefit from the support and encouragement of fellow homeschooling parents while the children meet new friends. We plan on meeting in person soon, where we can celebrate the joys and struggles of homeschooling while at the same time celebrate our awesome faith! We have the support and encouragement from Bishop Thomas Dowd and our very own homeschool chaplain, Fr. Gilles Surprenant, who both, like me, have a vision of homeschooling families gathering to encourage each other on our homeschooling journeys. Please feel free to contact Cathy at 514-624-1562 or [email protected] for more information. Fundraiser for K.D. Jola Parish Project Since 1993, the K. D. Jola Savara Tribal Mission Parish, located in the Diocese of Srikakulam, India, has been focusing on the pastoral, spiritual, social, economical and educational development of the vast population of the area. The diocese is very missionary in its nature. It consists of the poorest of the poor. The parish is in need of a place to accommodate at least 4500 men, women and children. Presently, we have a small chapel with a capacity of 200 people. Since we already have a chapel, the faithful are hoping to build a community prayer hall. The people are very much community-oriented and such a venue would facilitate the spiritual activities of the parish, community gatherings and meetings. In the parish, the Catholics are very poor. All these people are simple laborers. There is no doubt that their poverty is a great constraint on meeting the expenses of the proposed hall. The faithful however, are most are willing to contribute free labour. The community hall will be a grace bestowed by your generosity for the people in the decades ahead. Any donations will be truly appreciated. Fr. Balaswamy on behalf of the Montfort Missionaries Should you wish to make a donation to this worthwhile cause, contact St. Aloysius Parish at 514-351-3281 or [email protected] OR St. Brendan Parish at 514-376-4537 or [email protected].
