IOWA Assessment Testing
Monday, March 2nd – Friday, March 13th
We begin IOWA assessment testing this week in Grades 2 through 5. This date is moved up one week
from the previous posted date. All grades (2nd – 8th) will have IOWA testing during the week of
March 9th – 13th. Please be on time each day. The two most important things that you can do to
help your children do their best is to ensure that they get enough rest each night and have a good
breakfast each morning.
Rachel’s Challenge Meeting

Rachel’s Challenge will meet Monday, March 2nd, 7:15 AM in the Library/Media Center. All 3rd
graders through 8th graders are invited to attend. If you are planning to attend, please bring a friend.
Jeans Day for Play Cast
Tuesday, March 3rd
“Starlight Express” was a great success. We are so proud of our cast and crew and volunteers. Your
hard work and dedication really shined. Members of the Cast may have a jeans day with their play tshirt on Tuesday, March 3rd.
Student Council Meeting

Book Fair

Stations of the Cross
We will attend Stations of the Cross each Friday during Lent. This Friday, March 6th, we will attend at
2:00 PM in the Church. Come join us.
Cha-Ching
Big Bucks Raffle
This year we made Cha-Ching even bigger! Would you like to have a 1 in 450 chance at winning
$12,000? That’s right; we are selling only 450 tickets in this year’s Cha-Ching Raffle at a Guaranteed

Spring Fling Arts & Crafts Booth Applications
Saint Mary School Spring Fling is currently taking applications for Art and Craft vendors. Spring Fling
draws thousands of visitors and will be held at the Northwest Florida Fairgrounds April 8th – 12th,
2015. Applications are available at http://saintmaryschool.net/ or may be picked up from the Saint
Mary Parish Life Center, 165 Coral Drive SW, Fort Walton Beach.
Used Refrigerators, Freezers, Coolers & Crock-pots Needed
For Spring Fling
Used refrigerators and freezers are needed for Spring Fling. Please call the school office at 243-8913
to schedule a time and day for pick up.
Crock-pots and large coolers (120 Qt. +) are also needed for the food booths. Please leave crock-pots
and coolers at the front office.
White Elephant Items Needed
Items are needed for the White Elephant Tent at Spring Fling. Remember, someone’s trash is
someone else’s treasure. Bring in all your items to the school. Let us know in the office when you
place items, so we can be sure to move them to our Spring Fling Storage. Knick-knack’s, dishes, linens,
etc... Almost anything will sell at Spring Fling. If you need help in moving items, please call the office at
243-8913.
Spring Fling Golden Armband and Food Ticket Sale
Advance Sale
Monday, March 16th – Thursday, March 19th
Advanced sale of Spring Fling Food Tickets and Golden Arm Bands will be Monday, March 16th,
through Thursday, March 19th. They will be on sale in the Media Center from 8:00 AM to 12:00 noon
each day. Advance sales will cease at noon on Thursday, March 19th.
No Golden Arm Bands may be sold after noon on Thursday, March 19th. This is an
agreement between the school and the Carnival Company.
The food tickets, a $10 value, will be sold for $8. The Golden Arm Bands will be sold for $65. For $65
you can purchase a Golden Arm Band, which entitles you to ride on all rides for all five days of Spring
Fling. It includes both Saturday Sessions. Golden Arm Bands will not be available for purchase during
Spring Fling. They are sold only during the Advance Sale. The Golden Arm Band is a $150 value for $65.
Be sure to get your Food Tickets and Golden Arm Bands at the Advance Sale the week of March 16th 19th.
