St. Jarlath’s Journal “Finding success in every child” MARCH  Dinner money for March: £44:00  Snack/fruit money, P1 to P3: £4 per pupil First Confession The date for the Sacrament of First Confession for our P4 pupils is Tuesday 10th March at 1:00pm. All parents are invited to attend. All outstanding baptismal certificates for pupils not baptised in this parish must be in school by Friday 6th March. No-one will be able to make their First Confession without proof of Baptism. Ceremony of Light The Ceremony of Light for our P7 pupils will take place in St. Jarlath’s Church on Thursday 12th March at 7:00pm. Confirmation Retreat P7 pupils will attend a Confirmation Retreat on Thursday 19th March in the parochial hall, during school hours. Armagh Road Race Well done to Mr Mc Kenna and all our entrants for the Armagh Road Race. World Book Day World Book Day is celebrated this Thursday 5th March. Special Non Uniform Day We have been asked by one of our past pupils, Nadine Plummer from St. Patrick’s Grammar School, Dungannon , to help with her fundraising efforts. A special Green themed non uniform day will take place on Monday 16th March. Weather permitting; we will have a Walk to School event on this morning from the Church car park. St. Patrick’s Day assembly Ms Monaghan’s P3 class will be performing a St. Patrick’s Day assembly on Monday 16th March after our walk to school@9:15am. (see separate letter) Foundation visit P1 and P2 pupils will have a visit from Action Cancer on Monday 23rd March as part of their World Around Us topic on Healthy Eating. Sacrament of Confirmation The P7 class will celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation on Friday 27th March in St. John’s Church, Moy at 5pm. School will end on this day at 1:30pm for ALL pupils. Ulster American Folk Park Our P7 class will be travelling to the Ulster American Folk Park on Thursday 12th March as part of their World Around Us topic on “The famine”. Each pupil is asked to dress appropriately for the famine era.
