PC Parents Learning Too
ESL for Immigrant Parents
A language barrier can be
difficult to overcome and can
hinder a parent's ability to be
involved in their child's
education and community.
These ESL classes being offered
by Putnam City Schools provides
English literacy classes to immigrant parents and
youth in our district. Individuals receive instruction
in speaking, listening, reading, and writing English.
The Foundation is currently working to raise
$60,000 in support of this program. To learn more
or to donate to this or other programs offered by

A Donors Story
Frank Darrow
We have many donors that give generously to the
Foundation and want to take a minute to share
some of their stories with you and why they give.
Frank Darrow was a long time custodian at
a Putnam City high school. He retired several
years ago, but had a desire to give back to Putnam
City Schools. Upon his death, a donation to the
Foundation was made from his teacher retirement
fund in the amount of $5,000. Frank's name now
sit proudly among our Legacy Society members
where his legacy in the district will live on.
