Nobles , Wives and Friends of the Shrine;
March will be a “Giddy Up Bro” month.
We have the St Patrick’s Day Parade, a free
social meeting March 19th, as an
Appreciation Meal for the Circus workers
and the start of the Circus March 25th
@ 1:00pm for our Special Friends.
Also in March on the 28th there will be a
one day class for new Mason’s set up by the
Grand Master. Anyone who knows of
someone that might be interested must be
connected with a lodge and voted on before
that day. It’s more complicated than that,
but here are the guidelines. (Page 3)

means it’s time to turn in the election

they can be filed. According to the

DAUGHTERS OF THE NILE
BY: PAT WILLIAMS
PRINCESS TIZRAH
This is my last article for Daughters of the Nile, I can’t believe the year is almost
over.
Winter Ceremonial was on February 7th before this article came out. Daughters of
the Nile will have two new Princess: Princess Leslie Boothroyd and Princess Darcy
Russell.
The temple fund raiser was held February 14th and will also be
completed . Everyone should have had a great time roasting Dan Miller. Thank you everyone who
help prepare, set up, work the night of the fund raiser and the cleaning up.
The 92nd installation of officers for Bath Zabbia Temple #21 Daughters of the
Nile will be held Saturday March 21, 2015 at the Masonic Center at 2:00 p.m.
Please plan on attending and support our new Queen Elect Kathleen Jorgensen and
her line of officers. A short reception will follow the performances.
I wish the new elected officers and the appointed officers of 2015-2016 a fun and
exciting year.

It has been a very busy 2015 up to this point and I
do not see it slowing down anytime in the future.
The BHP attended the installation of our new
Potentate and BHP member Illustrious Sir Jerry
Granning and then jumped knee deep into
preparations for our annual Calcutta which was
held on January 26th.
This year’s Calcutta was one of the best attended to
date, I did not hear of anyone that did not enjoy the
meal, entertainment and fellowship. I would like to
thank Bob Snow for the outstanding meal and each
and every BHP member and their wife’s and or
significant others. We could not make this the
success it is without 100% effort from everyone
involved.
We are in the process of getting the barn repaired
from the 2013 tornado and hope all repairs are
completed by the middle of February. There is still
an awful lot of work to be completed as a result of
this storm but we are slowly whittling away at the
“to do “ list.
I am in my second (and final) term as President of
the BHP, Dave Green is VP and Duane Cowdin is
Captain this year. We are still in the process of
lining out the parades and events we will attend in
2015 but as the Potentate is a BHP member I am
sure we will be very busy.
As Circus is fast approaching the BHP is looking
forward to our annual duty in the parking lot. If
anyone would like to volunteer to assist in our
parking efforts please call Dennis Sheridan 690
2218 or Marty Steffes at 855 7674.
We are all looking forward to spring and warmer
weather so we can get back into the arena and on
horseback to brush off the rust and prepare for the
upcoming parade season. Practice will be each
Friday evening starting sometime in March or
April, weather permitting. Please feel free to drive
out and watch practice as we can be somewhat
entertaining at times.
Yours in the Brotherhood

all a chance to tell our
Loved Ones how much they
mean to us every second of
every day. Sometimes it
seems so easy to be there
every day with our partners,
almost taking for granted our
homes, health and daily
routines. However, when the
unexpected does occur, such
as an accident or an illness,
we enter into another life
style that brings us into the

a brief moment or an

Think
about
the
children that are living in
their worlds with a medical

adjust to the lifestyles of all
those around them as they
grow. It appears to them
with the blink of an eye,

correspondence is held by Kosair Charities from her period in
Louisville in the 1950s and early 1960s. Noble Patrick Miller
knew her when he was a patient at the hospital. She was called
"The Pretty Lady" by the children. Each holiday season she
painted the windows of the children's wards like holiday
postcards and handmade nativity scenes. Ms. Fossey later
gained international fame as a zoologist who extensively
studied gorillas in Rwanda, and in 1985 met an horribly
unfortunate death by poachers. Several books about her life and
untimely death have been penned over the years, but everyone
at Kosair simply remembers her as she was; "The Pretty Lady"

The St. Pat’s Parade is on for Saturday, March 21st. Regardless of
weather the Band will muster at Tiny's Tavern corner of 4th Ave & North
24th at 10:00 am for a warm up and possibly even a few tunes. Weather

We will kick off Circus week on Tuesday, March 24th in the Auditorium

A big “Thanks” in advance to all members, new and old and the “Guest
Artists” who join our Circus Band. What fun it is!!!
Help is needed at 12 Noon Wednesday March 25th at the free Circus
performance for the physically challenged, nursing homes, group homes, and
the like. Many “escorts” are needed at the Auditorium and anyone who
has time to help should show up at Noon in civvies and your Fez. It’s only
a one-hour show beginning at 1:00 pm, so we should have them out by
3:00 pm.
Following the Circus it‘s Onion time again. You may pick up your sales
packets at rehearsal, gather up orders from your regular customers, and
get them in as soon as possible. The Onions will arrive early in May and
we should plan for the usual Saturday roadside sale. Possibly with a
concert, weather permitting. We’ll undoubtedly cook (and eat!) some
samples again this year!
Meanwhile, we hope to see you and all your musician friends each
Tuesday @ 7:30 pm on the lovely lower level!!!
