Family Hobby Show At American
Legion In Keene Sunday, March 8th
Coins, Comic Book, Sports Card, Postcard Show
The Tri Town Collectors Club will hold a Coin,
Comic Book, Sports Card, and Postcard Show at the
Keene American Legion at 797 Court Street on Sunday, March 8th from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
After canceling last month’s show due to snow,
there will be many dealers and collectors from the tristate area ready to meet for a daylong series of hobby
activities packed with fun for the whole family.
Besides coins, currency, comic books, and sports
cards, there will be a special quiz for collectors at the
coin club table. Anyone reaching into the collectable
grab bag and selecting a free Indian Head cent or
Buffalo nickel will be able to double their prize if they
can say who was president in the year the coin was
minted. The Indian Head cents were issued from 1859
to 1909, while the Buffalo nickels were released from
1913 to 1938. There will be other door prizes available
for hobbyists of all ages.
The show is held in Keene on the second Sunday
of the month. This month, three new coin collectors
will be present, including a dealer from the new
Claremont Coin Shop. There will be collectors with
a large selection of vintage comic books and sports
cards. Highlighted this month will be a collector of
many sports autographs, including baseballs from
the 1950s Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Yankees
as well as other vintage autographs.
There is no admission charge; anyone wishing to
set up a card table to sell at no charge may do so by
calling Joe Fuller at 802-297-1274.
