The character trait for the month of March is Courage. What did the Cowardly Lion in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz seek? Courage! Courage allows us to be in control, to face difficulty, danger, or pain. With courage we can determine what frightens or challenges us, and find ways to cope with our fears and challenges. It takes courage to do what is right in the face of opposition. It takes courage to stand up for yourself, especially in the face of peer pressure. It also takes courage to be responsible and accept consequences of our actions instead of complaining and blaming others. Congratulations to the following students for demonstrating the character trait of the month, Courage.
