Notice of Alberta Reliability Standard Effective Date:
a) Adoption of New Alberta Reliability Standard BAL-004-AB-0, Time Error Correction (“BAL004-AB-0”);
b) Retirement of Existing Alberta Reliability Standard BAL-004-AB-1, Time Error Correction
(“BAL-004-AB-1”); and
c) Amendments to Existing Alberta Reliability Standard BAL-005-AB1-0.2b, Automatic
Generation Control (“BAL-005-AB1-0.2b”).
Further to the Notice of Application posted by the Alberta Utilities Commission (“AUC”) on February 3, 2015,
please see the following table for a summary of the filing and effective dates for the adoption of new BAL004-AB-0 and amended BAL-005-AB1-0.2b, and the retirement of BAL-004-AB-1.

In accordance with section 19 of the Transmission Regulation, the objection period has now passed, and on
February 23, 2015, the AUC approved the adoption, retirement and amendment of these reliability
standards. This reliability standards will become effective on July 1, 2015.
