Jesus helps us avoid compassion fatigue • He gives us a purpose to live for • He gives us motive and strength II. Satan strives to create compassion fatigue • The saturation of “hype” - Empty inspiration for small things - Nationalism - Mass Media - We can be overwhelmed with reality • Misunderstanding of the mission of the Church - Mission is our calling • Lack of knowledge in our faith • Selfishness III. Scripture’s example of compassion fatigue: Jonah • Jonah lacked obedience and compassion Obedience - God’s command - Jonah ran the other way - He could not hide from God Compassion - The people repented, but Jonah was angry Our mission: Go, tell, baptize, teach The family is growing - Don’t become weary in doing good All-Church Announcements Our Women's Retreat Auction will be held during the fellowship time on Sunday, March 15th.
