Montgomery County Choral Society Scholarship Amount: $1,000 Info/Qualifications/Criteria: Each year the Montgomery County Choral Society offers a $1,000 college scholarship to a graduating senior from any high school in Montgomery County. They are seeking applications from those students who have made a significant contribution to his/her high school choral program and desire to major in vocal/choral music at the college of their choice. Montgomery High School Local Scholarship Amount: Multiple Info/Qualifications/Criteria: Must be a graduating senior of Montgomery High School. SFA Smith-Hutson Scholarship Amount: up to $17,500 Info/Qualifications/Criteria: Smith-Hutson Scholarships are intended for entering freshmen with established financial need and academic potential who are seeking an undergraduate degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. Taking into account other scholarships that the student may receive and the student’s and parents’ financial resources, the Smith-Hutson Scholarship typically provides sufficient assistance to cover tuition, books, fees, and reasonable living expenses on campus. Students remain eligible to receive a Smith-Hutson Scholarship for a maximum of four years of undergraduate studies, provided the recipient maintains a cumulative grade point average (GPA) at SFA of at least a 2.5 and complete a minimum of 30 semester credit hours toward their degree each academic year.
