Nortec Links XPS Building Automation System Gateways for Nortec’s NHTC, NHRS, GSTC, SETC, and MHTC humidifiers Nortec Links XPS | Building Automation System Gateways At A Glance... Installation Factory install or field retrofit Protocol Support BACnet IP, BACnet MS/TP, LonWorks, Johnson/metasys N2 Humidifier Support NHTC, NHRS, GSTC, SETC, MHTC (including outdoor models) Chained Operation Yes, up to 8 units (1 Master + 7 slaves) Nortec Links XPS provides monitoring and control allowing humidifiers to communicate with building automation systems. Links XPS can be factory installed into new units, or field retrofitted into existing units. The gateway modules feature easy setup with most common settings being programmed through dip switches on the circuit board. Additionally, a configuration tool is available for BACnet IP applications to allow on site addressing. Links XPS is available for the NHTC, NHRS, GSTC, SETC, and MHTC models, including both indoor and outdoor models. BACnet IP, BACnet MS/TP, LonWorks, and Johnson N2 protocols are supported. Links XPS works by providing a gateway between the building automation system and the native Modbus support found in the humidifiers. A single Links XPS module can be used to control a chain of humidifiers. The Links XPS module would be installed in a “master” unit, and up to 7 “slave” units would be daisy chained back to the master. A variety of different points can be monitored, many of which can be written to remotely. Common points include unit output, fault and service indication, setpoints (when used with sensor control), demand values (when used with demand control), and enable / disable, among many others. For a complete list of points please refer to the installation manuals for the specific unit type. Form #11-24 U.S.A.
